PINK AND PASTELS

Ok so day one at work - DONE! Even had a little energy to craft afterwards so a couple of shares for you.

First up is to enter a new challenge 'Butterfly Challenge' run by the lovely Mrs A who is a regular and talented contestant over at Pixies Crafty Snippet playground. In fact it was when I posted my entry at the Playground yesterday that I noticed a new competition on the 'Blog' and having included snippety bits I'm going to enter the card here too.

So the very first Butterfly Challenge - and (surprisingly) a 'butterfly and flowers' requirement! I've a couple of commissions for Mother's Day cards at the moment so what better theme for a girlie occasion and if you want to play along you'll have to be quick as the competition closes tomorrow!

Card Recipe:

Image: Butterfly: vellum die-cuts using Clearly Besotted butterfly dies
Image: Flowers: stamped and die-cut using Clearly Besotted Fancy Florals
Sentiment: Clearly Besotted - Happy Days
Papers: Snippets of designer card as the background which was a gift from my Crafty American Auntie
Tools: MFT Die-namics chevron dies
From my Stash: twine, gems and pearls

My next card is for the CAS(E) This Sketch and CAS Colours & Sketches Challenges and this time I couldn't I've used a newly released set from Uniko Studio (A Gift For You). The present, bows, sentiment and sequins are all from this set. The sentiment and sequins are heat embossed onto vellum and I've used a retro circles embossing folder for the bottom half of the card plus a couple of gems and enamel dots from my stash to jazz it up a bit.

And that's all for me today so I'm just going to have a little surf around your blogs and add some comments as I've not been too good at that recently.

  1. So glad you not only found but had to play in my new little venture. I like the predominant green on this card jut broken up with a zest of the bright pink flowers. Green is not a colour I work with but strangely enough I'm just concocting one up now for #2. Letting you all in slowly with some easy peasy ones then wham of we go.!!! hugs Mrs A. (butterfly challenge).

  12. Hi Sarah

Just writing my Sunday snippets post here. When checking I realised that you'd entered three times over the past couple of weeks so have added *3* to your last entry so you'll be in the draw for the Mr and Mrs die. It was a fluke that I spotted it :)

    Hugs and good luck.
