FOIL CRAZY

Morning All ...
if you stopped by yesterday and left comments on my Less is More post then I'd like to thank each and everyone of you. It's hugely appreciated and reassuring to know there are so many lovely, supportive and encouraging blog friends out there.

On to my cards for today and first up is my entry to the CASology Challenge where the theme is 'Metal'. I've been wanting to have a go at this one all week but only just got my brain in gear! I've used foiled card so it's perhaps a bit of a cheat but foil is aluminium ... Yes?

To make my card I gathered every single circle die I possess and cut loads of different sizes in 3 colours then embossed most of them with a Sizzix Mosaic embossing folder. I've adhered them to the card with 3d foam or adhesive if they are flat to the card. I've made a couple of score lines above and below the circle panel and added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted - Design a Tree set. The black panel on the left has been stamped with Versamark ink using the Uniko Studio Background Circles stamps then heat embossed. IRL the black is much shinier than in the photograph.

Having delved into my snippets box for the foil bits and pieces I think this card also deserves a trip over to Pixies Snippet Playground and the left circle is hanging 'off the edge' which means I can pop this in at Addicted to CAS

Next up is a card to enter the Freshly Made Sketches and Simon Says Stamp Challenges, where Simon's theme is 'Spring Flowers'. I'm not sure if this is meant to be a bluebell stem but that's what I've made it and when I catch a glimpse of a cluster of bluebells I know Spring is here.

Card Recipe:
Tools: Crafts Too Lattice Embossing Folder, Sizzix Framelits - Ovals
Clearly Besotted Products: Scalloped Border Die, Fresh Flowers Stamp Set, leaf dies from Fancy Florals
Papers: Doodlebug & Papermania Textured Cardstock
Image: Heat embossed in white, coloured with Promarkers & Distress Inks for oval panel
Finished off with a helping of glossy accents to the little flowers.
