Hi friends I've 2 cards to share with you today
Card Recipe:
Impression Obsession: Heart of Hearts die (de-bossed with purple ink)
Lawn Fawn: Love word die - coated in glossy accents
Purple pearlised card base, gems and sequins from my stash to finish.
My second card is to enter the current challenge at
Time Out Challenges - theme: Grunge
Now it's taken me almost 2 weeks to pluck up the courage
to make and post this card! I'm not sure grunge is my thing
and the DT will possibly boot me out of the gallery with this one
as I'm not sure my distressed / spritzed BG is allowed as grunge.
But I'm giving it a go ... and I've used lots of embossing too.
The flower and the gold strips above and below the floral panel
Card Recipe:
Uniko Studio: Pure Florals - Gerbera & sentiment from A Gift For You
WOW: Metallic Brass sparkle EP
Distress Ink: Barn Door and Festive Berries
Ok that's all from me today but I hope to be back
later in the week when I've had a little more time to craft.
See you then and thanks for calling by.
Two beauties Sarah.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Veerle x
I really like the "feminine" grunge you created on the second card. Also watched the Jennifer video and loved the look she created - yours came out awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe purple card is great! I've still to watch JM's video on faux letterpress, but that just makes me want to try it even more!
ReplyDeleteWell I am doing a little Happy Dance as not only did you do grunge but girly grunge, which is my fav. The spritz works as grunge and the added gold the perfect combo. And wow to the purple delight. This looks so perfectly CAS but has so much detail I wouldn't have the patience. All the added gloss is a delight. Thanks for joining Ink and TO x
ReplyDeleteTwo beauties Sarah! Must check out that video as your card looks sensational. And the girlie grunge is just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteFrom your fabulous pearlised purple to gorgeous grunge - love it all!! If they give you the boot, they will have already done to mine, Sarah. I am lovely it!

Two beautiful cards!
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards, dear Sarah! I love your interpretation of grunge. For me it is perfect! :-)
ReplyDelete2 stunning cards, Sarah! I don't know if the second one is grunge, but oh how I love it!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards Sarah, you really are on a creative roll :) Loving the technique on the first, will have to check that technique video out myself and loving the 'grunge' Gerbera too :) Thanks so much for taking the TIME OUT and joining in on the challenge. Hugs Bev x

ReplyDeleteI saw that JM video too, Sarah ... and you've CASEd her to perfect with this beauty ... it's just lovely! Your grunge card is just gorgeous ... and so beautifully soft and feminine ... way to go stepping outside your comfort zone! I chuckled at your post ... 'plucking up courage' to make a grunge card described me to a T too!! Delighted you did ... thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Anita :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic card! I saw this technique by Jennifer too, but haven't had time to try it out.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much - I truly appreciate your card.
