AAA Cards #49

Morning friends it's time to announce the latest challenge details
over at AAA Cards and the theme is 'Word Play' so
we'd like to see you using mainly words and here's a little
photo inspiration to help you out.

The scrabble idea inspired me to incorporate into my card using a basic alphabet
set from Clearly Besotted and MFT Die-namics lower case letters which are
coloured using Distress Inks, Wink of Stella and a coat of Glossy Accents.
I've also tried out a background technique that I've seen around Blogland where an
embossed panel is inked with Distress Inks for added colour and texture.
I've also added Perfect Pearls to make it shimmer even more. The basket weave
folder is from WeR Memory Keepers and to finish some sequins from my stash.

I hope you find some time to play along and before you zip off to your
craft space please check out the designs from my fellow teamies over
at the AAA Card blog HERE.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fun and crafty week!

Addicted to CAS #73

Hi again friends it's time to introduce the latest challenge
over at Addicted to CAS and this time our awesome teamie
Ksenija is hosting and the codeword she has chosen is 'Dream'

Our guest designer for this month, Dawn, is back again with a fun and
cute card so I hope you'll check out her blog and leave her some love!

Here's my card and I've maybe taken liberties here as I have gone
with the very popular Christmas song 'I'm 'dreaming' of a White Christmas'
so created a full on white on white snowy card with just a hint of silver.

This used a Sheena Douglas snowflake embossing folder to the
card base, Uniko Studio: Snowflake trio dies plus a sentiment
from Uniko's Simply Said Christmas heat-embossed in WOW
Metallic silver sparkle with a mini silver gem in the centre of the snowflake.

Don't forget to check out the stunning cards by my fellow teamies over on
the Addicted to CAS blog HERE and our sponsor for this challenge is

http://buyscribblesdesigns.blogspot.com.au
and the lucky winner will receive 3 images from the store!

Thanks as always for stopping by and I hope you feel inspired to join in
Have a fun week and catch up soon

Less is More #243

Happy Saturday friends!
Have you got that 8am Saturday morning feeling?

Hope so as there's a new challenge at Less is More
and it's Recipe week! I think the technology one last week
had us all stumped so hopefully this one will be a breeze.

So we are looking for anything Shiny but please keep it
clean and simple of course!

It was my in-laws Golden Wedding Anniversary last week so
this one fit the bill perfectly I think but could be used for lots of occasions.

I started out by dry embossing a piece of cardstock using a
Cuttlebug Retro Circles folder then inking it with Gold Delicata ink
followed by Perfect Pearls in Gold to make it shimmer and shine even more!

The Codeword over at CASology this week is Circles so I'll be heading over
there with this card and as well as the circle embossing folder I've trimmed the
panel with a stitched curve border from MFT Die-Namics and rounded the edges.

The 'happy' word die and 'anniversary' sentiment are from Hero Arts
and to add a little more shine there's some sequins and gems from my stash.

Here's a little close-up of the panel as I found it's really difficult to
catch the shine in a photograph!

Next up I've kind of used the sketch at this week's CAS(E) This Sketch
challenge and die-cut some chevrons using foil cardstock.

The chevrons are by Clearly Besotted: Geometric Style II, and the
'birthday wishes' is also CBS from their 'Happy Birthday' set.
My die-cut 'Sending' is a new purchase from Simon Says Stamp and to finish
I've added some Doodlebug sequins which matched the foil papers perfectly.

It's over to you now and can't wait to see what you come up with!

Thanks as always for calling in and I'll be back in an hour with the latest
challenge details for Addicted to CAS - hope to see you there too.

Friday Challenge Time

Hi Friends I've 2 cards to share which I made today, hopefully
in time to drop them in at the challenges!

First up I've been wanting to enter the latest Timeout Challenge
where the challenge is to CASE a card by the wonderful
Tracey McNeely of In My Creative Opionion

It's a super pretty card with some subtle ink blending; here's
my take followed by Tracey's

I've 'tipped it on it's head' by using vellum but only as a strip to
mount my sentiment and I've used similar pastel shades inked
through a stencil from My Favourite Things called, Rose builder.
I love the curly font of the sentiment in Tracey's card so I've used a
(new to me) die from Simon Says Stamp with a cropped sentiment
from Uniko: Pure Florals Cosmos.

The challenge over at this week's Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge
is 'No Design Paper' so I'd like to drop my card in there too as I've
made my own design-paper-type background with the inky stencil.

Grab Our Badge!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

Next up and you can perhaps tell I made them one after the other!
This one is for the Muse Card Challenge where my buddy and fellow
Less is More DT, Anita, is the 'Muse' for this week!

When I saw Anita's card earlier in the week I knew I'd like to use this
stencil from My Favourite Things 'Concentric Circles' and I did consider popping
it in at CASology but I think I'd get a 'red card' as it's not particularly CAS!

I started out by inking through the stencil with Versamark ink before heat embossing
with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. Instead of adding water and pigment as
Anita has ... and also I realised I hadn't picked up watercolour card! DUH!
I decided to blend Distress Inks in Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, Worn Lipstick,
Mustard Seed and Cracked Pistachio before spritzing with a little water and perfect pearls.

The 'Thanks' die cut sentiment is from WPlus9 and I couldn't resist adding a
few sequins and some embroidery thread to mimic Anita's idea, here's her card ...

Ok that's all from me for today, thanks for stopping by and I'm off to
watch some sequins, and glamour as Strictly is back this weekend!

I'll be back tomorrow with the latest challenge details for
Less is More and Addicted to CAS so hope to see you then.

Thanks for calling in.

Muse #133

Happy Sunday friends, I've a card to share that I'm entering over
at The Muse Card Challenge and I have to say the wonderfully
sweet, fun and super talented Michele is hosting this week and has
taken me WAY out of my comfort zone! But hey that's the fun of Muse!

Patterned paper covering my whole card!!!! Arrrgh!
Haven't done that in a long time but Michele's card was too adorable
not to have a go and play along so hope she likes my version too.

I've gone with Christmas as I happened to have a beautiful paper pack
by American Krafts with some of the colours Michele used - well maybe one!

Here's Michele's card too

I've gone a bit die-crazy here using some of my favourite
Clearly Besotted dies: Merry - part of the Christmas word die set,
Rounded Tag, Bow from Joy to The World and Holly from Little Pudding

So I'm also going to jump across to Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge
where they are celebrating 'Die-Crazy' this week!

Thanks as always for calling by and hope you have a fun week!
Catch you soon!

Uniko - Reveal, Release & GIVEAWAY: September 2015

The day has arrived!
Time to reveal, release and open the 'giveaway' doors
on the latest release from Uniko!

I've a couple of cards to share with you; first up using
Background Builders - Triangulate set.
Having heat-embossed various triangle images in Hero Arts
white EP I've soaked my water-colour card with water ... of course
before drizzling distress inks in Cracked Pistachio, Dusty Concord,
Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans. The 'Hello' sentiment is from a previous
All Occasion Sentiments set, #1

Using both the Natural Treasures II and All Occasion Sentiments #6
sets I've created a celebratory card with a tone on tone delicate pink
panel and a bold, gold heat embossed sentiment and leaf image.
The leafy image is embossed onto vellum then fussy cut.

Before I set you off on the traditional release day hop here's
the images of the sets which are available to purchase from Uniko today

All that's left is for you to simply visit & comment along the hop
by midnight Saturday 18th July, to be in the chance of winning the ENTIRE release!
Here's the order you need to follow, enjoy the hop and I hope you feel inspired to create.

Sarah P (that's ME!)

Have a fun weekend and catch up again soon.

Less Is More #242

Morning crafty pals it's time for a new challenge over at

and it's theme week - Technology is the theme we've chosen!
Crumbs! Don't ask me why ... there's been a lot of head scratching
and stress in my craft room and the other DT too I think!

I decided to go with 'tech' speak - it's all the rage!!!!
Like I know! Anyway according to tweets my kids type
it's 'hash-tag this / hash-tag that' and as my daughter needs an
18th card this weekend I decided to combine the two!

Mama Elephant Landscape Trio dies and Index Card set came in handy especially
as the latter includes a # die! After die-cutting the stitched rectangle I split the panel into
4 using a snow-drift border die. I inked up some cardstock using the same inks
as the sentiments to die-cut 3 hash-tags. The sentiments are from Uniko -
All Occasion Sentiments with 'smile' and 'celebrate' from the
brand new set being released today.
The '18' is die-cut using Avery Elle - Count on Us dies and is die-cut 3 times
for added dimension. To finish a few sparkly gems

It's 'die-crazy' over at Simon Says Stamp this week so I'd like
to head over there with this card too
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

Next up I couldn't resist going with the mobile phone!

Using the 'Text me' set from Clearly Besotted I've gone icon crazy
all over the screen, added some mini headphones and a techi text sentiment
all from the same set! The speech bubble is from WPlus9 and to finish some
Doodlebug Sprinkles and co-ordinating design paper which I found after the
stamping and it happened to match pretty well with all the little images.

I hope you'll pop over to check out what the other DT members
have created - you won't be disappointed and I hope you enjoy the challenge.

I'll be back shortly with the full reveal, release and blog hop of the latest
stamp sets from Uniko so hope you'll stop by then.

Happy crafting!

Uniko - Introducing Background Builders Triangulate

Hello there, I'm thrilled that you've stopped by again as it's
Day 2 of the Introductions to the new release of stamps from

Uniko

and we're introducing a new geometric, background builder set.
This time it's triangles so loads of possibilities to create funky fun patterns!

Party banners for me with these funky geometric triangles plus one of the border strips
which I've curved along my acrylic block. I've used another sentiment from
All Occasion Sentiments #6 which was introduced yesterday along with the
'On Your Birthday' from Simply Said: Birthday. I can't resist a few Doodlebug
accents especially as they matched my colorbox chalk inks so perfectly!

I'd like to link this up at Darnell's NBUS challenge #5 - these are new stamps!
Hope that's ok as well as Virginia's View where it's a geometric theme.
