Less is More #297

Hello friends, hope you've had a good week; I certainly don't know
where mine's gone - one minute it was Sunday, recovering from the
Happy Stampers Festival and WOAH! It's Saturday again!

... which means it's time for a new challenge over at
Less is More

and it's the 'dreaded one' - Yep all have a groan! Me too!

ONE LAYER card week with the theme DREAMS
To be honest I've got very little in my stash for this theme so it's
just the one card from me today and I've 'showcased' Dreamy sentiments.

I can't resist an excuse for a bit of inky blending with Distress inks
so the background features a bundle of my favourites and I've done the
irresistible (for me) spritzing and flicking with water and perfect pearls.
In fact I even brushed some gold perfect pearls over the top for added shimmer
but you can't see that in the photo. The sentiments are from Clearly Besotted:
Dandelion Dreams and they're heat embossed using Versafine Onxy and clear EP.
To finish there's a hand-drawn black border and some enamel dots; I'm regretting
adding those if I'm honest but daren't remove them for fear of the mess!

Edit: thanks again to Anita for suggesting I should enter this one over at

I hope you'll stop by my fellow teamies blogs as their cards are just
oozing magic, fun and dreamy inspiration for you - the links are on the
main Less is More blog here and I'm sure they'd love a visit!

As always thanks for stopping by my blog today and hope to
catch up again soon. Have a good weekend.

  1. You blend your inks so well, Sarah, and this is just fabulous with those splatters. That central focal point is so vibrant (ooooh, why not enter over at Virgina's View?!) And of course I love the enamel dots, who doesn't love a dash of Doodlebug! xx

  2. This is gorgeous Sarah - those colours! Wow! <3 The sentiments are perfect... I really wish I'd bought that set before CB closed for the rest of the year :( I actually love the enamel dots and think they do a great job of linking the main imagery with the rest of the card - so don't go pulling them off!! Have a lovely weekend x

  3. Your inking is superb Sarah, it has given this card such impact without detracting from the important sentiment!

  4. Stunning blending and spritz/flicking Sarah. So glad you left the enamel dots because they are so eyecatching. Sorry I changed my main DT card at the last minute... I thought we needed to inject some colour but had no idea you were going to add this little beauty...ah well! (You must e-mail me in future if we are similar, please!). Your sentiment is superb!

  11. This is gorgeous Sarah ! You show us that we can make a beautiful card only with a sentiment and some colored inks ! Good to know when we do not have the right stamps for the proposed theme ! And I think that your enamel dots are perfect, they illustrate the though bubbles (at least for me)!
    Thanks for sharing.
