Less is More #314

Hi there friends it's Birthday time today over at ...
Less is More

No! Not one of the team but the Challenge blog itself is 6 years old!
YIPPEE!

Firstly we've revamped the blog and given it a fun and facelift, new
colours, new design, new logos and badges. Secondly, we've a whole month
of prizes from our generous sponsors plus we've guest designers too!

Why not head over to the LIM blog HERE to catch up on all the fun and
excitement and how to be in with a chance of winning.

Oh! before you head off  I'll get down to announcing this week's challenge
and being the first challenge of the month, it's our

Hey look at that fancy little challenge ticket!

We'd like you to use 3 adjacent colours from the colour wheel

Here's mine - well it's a 'two-fer' more details below and there's loads of fabulous ideas
from my fellow teamies over on the main blog HERE with links to their own blogs.

Plus this week we're joined by Kylie of Happy Little Stampers who will also be offering
a prize for our winner of THIS WEEK'S challenge!

So in honour of our superb sponsor and guest designer for this week, I've
cracked open some Happy Little Stampers sets: Especially For You
and Fun Birthday Sentiments.

It's a two-fer as both cards were created at the same time on one panel of A6 cardstock.
The images are coloured with promarkers then the panel sliced in half using
a landscape border die from Mama Elephant.

The upper panel of the first card is mounted on 3d foam for added interest
and dimension whereas the second one is flat to the card base. Which do you prefer?

I'm heading over to 'Anything Goes with HLS stamps' with these 2

You've got to be 'in it to win it' so I hope you'll feel inspired to play along with us!

Hope you have a fun week and as always
thanks for calling by and I'll be back soon!
Sarah

  2. Brilliant, I love it when you can create a two-fer especially when the design works so well! My personal choice would be with the added dimension but I would be delighted if I received either card!
Congratulations on the redesign over at LIM and I love the new "challenge ticket"

  8. Ahhhh, not fair to show two STUNNING cards and ask which we prefer! I wouldn't be able to choose! The butterflies are really pretty and I think the colour scheme is absolutely perfect, so fresh and airy. The landscape border die is great - I'm going to pinch that idea and use a clouds die the same way very soon! Thanks teamie :D Have a lovely week x
