Less is More #322

Morning friends, are you ready for this week's challenge at Less is More and it's a new month already and we've a new sponsor for this month too. We are delighted to announce that Lili of The Valley will be offering a prize for our April winner so I hope you'll keep playing along!

The first week of the month means ...

and I've two cards to share with you today with the first one using a wonderful digi stamp sentiment collection, by our sponsor, called Fabulous!

I've created a background of dreamy butterflies over half of the card, using a Clearly Besotted set and stamped in the most delicate of inks by Altenew: Rose Quartz, Mountain Mist and Soft Lilac. The sentiment panel is die-cut using a stitched square stax from MFT Die-Namics which is lightly inked in lilac along the edges. To finish a few gems and 2 die-cut butterflies hanging off the panel.

A slightly bolder use of pastel shades here using the following:

Stamps
Uniko: Simply Said & Celebrate with Cake (Have a & Mother's Day)
Altenew: Daisy and Simple flowers (Beautiful sentiment)
Dies: Clearly Besotted Trellis
Inks: Altenew Crisp inks

It's an anything Goes week at Simon Says Stamp so I'd like to pop this one across to their Wednesday Challenge.

  1. These are total stunners, Sarah! That delicate butterfly background in the soft ink colours perfectly sets off the bold and very cool sentiment. Loving the creative contrast! Your second card is soooo elegant with the stylish trellis and brighter pops of floral colour. Gorgeous makes! Have a fab weekend x

  4. These look amazing, Sarah! I love the contrast of the pastel butterflies with the bold sentiment on the first card and those pretty daisies are just beautiful. They are on my wish list as you can imagine! The way you have combined stamps for the sentiment is really clever too. I hope you are having a great weekend x

  5. Fabulous cards Sarah ! So, I will change a little bit my mind, not only the pastel colours are great for baby cards but also for elegant and delicate cards as yours ! Love how you highlighted your bold sentiment with a soft pattern of pastel butterflies background on your first card ! The two gems are the final touch to make it even more elegant ! Love also the white lattice with these beautiful pastel flowers on it ! Ideal for a mother's day card ! I keep the idea in mind for mother's day ! (here it's in may !). Thanks for sharing and for inspiring.
