Less is More #332

Morning friends, another week has zipped by and it's time to introduce this week's challenge over at Less is More and it's that 'dreaded' one. The ONE layer card week but hopefully we've picked a popular theme that you'll enjoy.

Here's the Cue card followed by my examples and don't forget my fellow teamies have some fantastic inspiration over on the main blog HERE as well as on their personal blogs so do hop along and pay them a visit if you get the chance this week!

So 2 fruity themed 'sweet' cards from me; both using the Simply Scrumptious set from Clearly Besotted, with a sentiment from Altenew Simple Fruits on the first one and images inked with Altenew inks throughout. To add a little extra detail on this first one I've hand drawn a border to my focal square panel which was masked with post it tape prior to stamping.

I'm also sharing a little Design Team inspiration over at Uniko this morning HERE and I've a sneaky peek at my card below. I couldn't resist playing with 'sweet' Uniko set which works at Less is More too. Quite by accident it looks like I've still got that Neapolitan ice-cream on the brain!!!

I hope you'll play along with us this week and have some crafty fun too!

Thanks for calling by and I'll be back soon!

  2. Hummm ! I adore strawberries ! These two cards are just wonderful with this delicious fruit and as usual with a perfect design and so CAS ! They just remind me that summer is almost here and that we will soon relish all those yummy fruits ! I love also your cupcakes card. What a wonderful work of masking ! The cupcakes are really highlighted as if they were die cut ! Fantastic trio ! Have a wonderful weekend ! xx

  3. Simply scrumptiously CAS-tastic Sarah! Oh my, you are a brave girl hand drawing that border in the middle of the card...and then you masked it! (That is a smudging accident just waiting to happen). It really gives definition to the focal point and what fabulous stamps those are. Love the contrast of the square on the top card with the lovely freedom of the wreath image on the second (..and the Uniko one looks fab too. Gorgeous work.

  5. A trio of fab cards, Sarah! Both strawberries cards are perfectly OLCAS with great designs. Love your last card with all that wonderful masking and stencilling. I know how shimmery and beautiful Delicata Gold is so I can imagine how gorgeous it is IRL. Have a great weekend.

  9. I love your sentiment/stamp combos! They completed each other so well in both of your cards. The swirly look of your second card is wonderful, so feminine and pretty! And your hand drawn border in the first card was a great idea. Adds a lot of interest to a wonderful CAS design!

  10. Hi teamie, long time no speak! And sorry for such a late visit this week, been a bonkers week.
Loving your sweet strawberries on these, you beat me to it with that CBS set! The hand drawn frame is a great idea for a OLC but not sure I could pull that off tidily enough! lol xx
