Morning friends, are you ready for this week's challenge at Less is More? It's the start of a new month which means it's colour week and also time to introduce our sponsor for the month. We are delighted to welcome back Happy Little Stampers, who will be providing the prize for this month.
Here's our cue card and I've 2 cards to share with your this week using our Union Jack colour combo
This one uses bold blocks of coloured card stock with the bottom half dry-embossed using one of the We R Memory Keepers Next Level embossing folders. The sentiment is from My Favourite things and I've added a couple of enamel dots to add a little extra interest.
It's an Anything Goes challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge so I'd like to head across there with this one.
Here's one using images by our sponsor
Happy Little Stampers from the Wish You Were Here and Mix Mash sets for the sentiment.
I hope you'll play along with us this week and don't forget to check out the fabulous designs from my fellow teamies over on the main blog HERE where you'll find some fantastic inspiration.
Thanks for calling by my blog and I'll be back soon.
I am loving the patriotic colours on your cards today, Sarah! They have combined to create such crisp and bold designs. You must tell me where I can get that embossing folder - it looks fabulous every time that you use it! The blocks of colour and focal sentiment on your first card are simple but effective and I love that skyline on your second card too. Great inspiration in red, white and blue :)
ReplyDeleteThese are fab, Sarah! I found the bold colours quite hard to work with, but you've done an awesome job of making eye catching, statement cards that look great! The dry embossing on the bottom of the first card is particularly effective. I MUST get hold of some of those embossing folders. And the embossed skyline of the second card adds a lovely amount of detail into the design while keeping the overall clean lines. Love them both! Have a great weekend x
ReplyDeleteI struggled a bit with the red, white and blue colors, but you did amazing. Love these cards!
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful set of cards this week, Sarah. I love the texture from the EF and that blue is gorgeous. Where is that from! Great design on your second card and loving how you changed up the blue there. Have a Wonderful weekend and week!
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards, Sarah ! These bold blue and red panels are so eye-catching ! Love the embossing on the blue panel, it gives lots of dimension to the card ! And what a clever idea to change the blue colour on your second card, did even know we could do it....good tip for another time ! Have a great Sunday (here grey and chilly 🙁) and a fabulous week !
ReplyDeleteBrilliant use of the Union Jack colours Sarah! Loving the bold blocks of colour as they really make a statement. I have that embossing folder too - I love it more every time you use it but always forget to use it myself. Your were so clever to use the London skyline on the second card too. It looks perfect in white against the red. Beautiful, bold and fabulously CAS designs this week! xx
ReplyDelete2 stunning examples Sarah, love them both!
ReplyDeleteSuper cards Sarah. The texture on your first card is gorgeous and that embossing folder has been on my wish list for a while.
ReplyDeleteFabulous cards Sarah! I love the texture from the embossing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
Mandy xx
Awesome job with these colours, lovely. Your colour blocking looks so great, especially with that texture. I really must use my EF, I love it every time I see you using it! Love the clean lines on your second card too, just a simple layered panel but it really packs a punch. Great job as always xx
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful cards...love those bold and beautiful colors.
