Sunday Challenges January 2019

Hi Friends,

Unbelievably I've found some crafty mojo today with the help of the latest challenge at Less is More and a fabulous sketch the girls have created, so here's 2 cards I've created - both baby ones as I'd run out in my 'handy to have in' box!

They use the Uniko: Sweet Baby set along with a sentiment from a Clearly Besotted baby set (sorry can't remember the name of the set) and the background stencil is by Funky Fossil; shooting stars

Here's the sketch / Cue Card for Less is More

I'd also like to enter over at AAA Cards; here's their cue card. and the 'blue' card features masking!

Thanks for calling by my blog and have a fun week!

AAA Cards Challenge #58

Morning friends I'm back with details of the latest challenge over at

AAA Cards Challenge

and although it's Valentine's Day today we are blinging
it up with Sequins for this one. Please remember to keep your
creations Clean and Simple and here's what I came up with!

I'm definitely in the mood for Spring so there's been a few bright and colourful
blooms on my blog in the last few days ... do you think it might rush the season in?

My card uses a mish-mash of products from some of my favourite companies:
Gerbera die-cuts: MFT Die-Namics (coloured with Zig Clear Brush Pens)
Die-cut vase: CBS - Sweet Rose; filled with sequins by Pretty Pink Posh,
'Wishing' word die: Simon Says Stamp
'You Happiness' sentiment: Uniko - Pure Florals Gerbera.

There's loads more inspiration over on the main AAA Cards blog
HERE as my fellow teamies have been working their little sequins
off! Hope you feel inspired to play along and can't wait to see what
you make of this one.

As usual there is a prize up for grabs for our winner.
This challenge is being generously sponsored by Happy Little Stampers
with a gift certificate for $30 for our lucky winner!

Thanks as always for stopping by and I'll be back again soon!

Simon Says - Things That Fly

Hi there I'm zipping in with a super quick card that I've made for this week's challenge
at Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge where it's all about

Things that Fly

I think butterflies are going to be pretty popular and why not!
They are simply too elegant and delicate not to include

I'd also like to drop a little reminder in that there's still time to join
the AAA Cards Challenge where the theme is rain and watercolour.

You have perhaps realised I'm a little bit MAD over rainbows!
To create the background I've scribbled blocks of colour using
Derwent Inktense pencils followed by a a hefty spritzing of water
to allow the colours to run / merge slightly

Using gloss accents I've created raindrops but they aren't too obvious in the photo.
Then my 'flying thing' is a die-cut butterfly from Clearly Besotted: Butterfly Duo.
Sentiment from Uniko Studio - Simply Said Birthday

Thanks as always for calling by my blog and see you soon.

Watercolour Butterflies

This is my 2nd post today ... if you missed Day 2 of my Uniko Studio introductions please see HERE

I've got a very quick card to share with you today and it's
to enter into the Sketch challenge at Happy Little Stampers
and a second entry to AAA Card Challenge

I've used the colours from the photo inspiration at AAA Cards
and slightly varied the sketch at Happy Little Stampers by
using butterflies instead of hearts as I've enough love and heart cards
to last me a lifetime at the moment!!!

Card recipe:
Clearly Besotted: Elegant Butterfly dies in foil card from DCWV
Sentiment from CBS: Paired Up - heat-embossed in Hero Arts White EP
Distress Inks in: Seedless Preserves, Barn Door, Picked Raspberry & Peacock Feathers
drizzled onto wet watercolour cardstock then splattered!
WPlus9 - Basic banner die

Ok that's all for now, thanks for stopping by and I'll be back tomorrow
with another super stunning set from the Uniko Studio February release.

Hugs & Kisses & lots of Hearts

This morning I'm here with a card to share for a few challenges and
there's certainly plenty of excuses to keep the love and heart
stash handy at the moment in blogland!

Here's my card and I must apologise for the photo there is
just not enough daylight hours to catch a decent picture!

Card Recipe:
Impression Obsession: Heart Die
Distressed Inks: Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Peacock Feathers,
Salty Ocean and Barn Door
Clearly Besotted: Sweet Little Sentiments
Twine and gems from my stash

As soon as I saw the photo inspiration at AAA Card Challenge
I couldn't wait to join in and IRL this card is much brighter and shinier
than the photograph shows.

Using distress inks I created a border by inking around the cardbase
along with the section behind where the die-cut heart sits.
The card base was spritzed with water and perfect pearls to add some extra interest.
Extra hearts from the die cut were inked up then smothered with Glossy Accents
After wrapping some twine around the die-cut panel I've adhered it to my card base
using 3d foam and added the extra hearts and gems.

I'd like to enter this card at the following challenges:

AAA Card Challenge
Addicted to CAS - Hugs & Kisses
Freshly Made Sketches

Thanks for calling in at my blog today and hope you'll
stop by a little later when I'll have the 2nd Sneaky Peek
of the new Uniko Studio February Stamp Release

New Year and Dramatic Colours

Hello friends ... Here's wishing you all a very
Happy & Prosperous New Year and
hoping you've had an enjoyable and relaxing Christmas.

It's time for a new challenge and a new year at
Less is More

and to kick things off we've a dramatic colour combo for you

Black, Metallic plus one other colour

Please remember to keep it clean and simple...
difficult with all those scrumptious new goodies from
Santa that we simply want to throw in all at once!

Here's my cards and YIKES ... how difficult is it
not to make a Christmas card:

Black: Scalloped sentiment strip & Image
(Clearly Besotted: Good Times - a newbie from Santa)
Metallic: Die cut basket in silver foil card then dry-embossed
and
Sentiment (also Clearly Besotted: Good Times)
heat-embossed in WOW metallic silver sparkle EP
Other Colour: pink Butterflies & Gems

I'd like to enter this card at CAS(E) This Sketch
it's a fantastic sketch so if you fancy joining the fun
there's still a few more days left to enter

  Never-Before-Used-Schtuff (Stamps, Dies, EFs, etc.)

Also the wonderful Darnell Knauss is running another
NBUS Challenge (Never-before-used-schtuff)
I seem to have missed it previously but as these are
Santa goodies and fresh out of the packet I'm going to head
on over there with my card

Black: Card base, Sentiment & Fairy die cut
Metallic: WOW Gold metallic embossing powder & nail heads
Other Colour: White

Card Recipe:
Simon Says Stamp: Bauble stencil - used with versamark ink
and embossing powder and masked as a circle rather than bauble
Clearly Besotted: Sweet Little Sentiments
Dies to Die For: Fairy freebie

Until recently I didn't own any Simon Says Stamp products;
mainly due to the cost of shipping to the UK but I was
luck enough to win some Simon goodies in a blog hop
at I'm in Haven so huge thanks Lisa.

So as I'm using a Simon Says Stamp product it would be
uncharitable not to enter their current challenge
Anything Goes

I'd also like to try out a new challenge, for me, at
AAA Cards Challenge where it's a photo inspiration

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

Last but not least

Black: Card base & panel
Metallic: Foil card stock
Other: shades of turquoise / teal

Card Recipe:
Clearly Besotted: Congrats word die
Memory Box: Mini Star Dies
Papermania: Gems

Ok it's your turn and I'll be dropping by your blogs to check out
your creations later in the week.

Have fun and thanks for stopping by.
