Girls love Gold

Happy Sunday all, I'm back with my second post today.
Please click HERE for my AAA Cards post.

Although my post title suggests Gold this embossing powder is
actually WOW Metallic Copper sparkle. In fact I bought it last year
and the little pot was lost in my drawer until I found it yesterday and
cracked it open for the first time. Love the result!

Card Recipe:
My Favourite Things: Sun Ray Stencil
Inked through with Versamark ink before embossing with the copper EP
MFT Die-namics: Sentiment strip with a sentiment from
Clearly Besotted: Say it in Style set - heat-embossed in Hero Arts White EP
To finish I've added some sequins and pearls from my stash

I'd like to enter this at

Happy Little Stampers: Stencilling

... and as luck would have it
CAS on Sunday have just popped their challenge up
on the blog today and it's GOLD (hoping my copper counts!)

For your blog

Ok that's all for now ... off to do some more crafting
It's really cold and wet here today so what else can I do ...
housework, ironing, cooking ... NAH!

Thanks for stopping by and see you soon.

Sunday Challenge Combo

Hello friends I've a couple of cards to share with you today
for challenges I've neglected recently :-(
sometimes there's just not enough hours in the day to enter them all.

The first card is to enter at this week's Muse Card Challenge and CAS on Sunday
Although I love Michelle's work I honestly couldn't get my head around
her Muse card this week and I've been racking my brain constanly!

Then ... a little lightbulb moment when I popped over to CAS on Sunday.
It's a 'chevron' themed challenge so I zapped some inspiration from
their AMAZING DT.

Here's Michelle's card

 For your blog
Card Recipe:
Uniko Studio: Balloon Bash
Clearly Besotted: Happy Birthday sentiment set
MFT: Chevron Stencil
Distress Inks in Salty Ocean, Peacock Feathers & Evergreen Bough

Next up is to enter at ColourQ

My cousin gets married next month but I'm not sure if these colours
are too garish for a wedding card. Basically I 'needed' this colour red
for the love word die on another card and die-cut the centre but then
thought it was too nice a shape to discard and this is what happened!

Card Recipe:
Uniko Studio: Flower Power #3
Clearly Besotted: Bridal Bouquet sentiments
Lawn Fawn: Love word Die
Impression Obsession: Heart Die - using the spare hearts
I coloured them black, winked with stella then drizzled with glossy accents
The red die cut panel was a freebie from Dies to Die for

Ok that's my lot for today but hope to see you in the week.
It's half term in the UK so no work for the week but it always
flies by and never enough crafting done!

Thanks for stopping by and have lovely evening.

Grey Wet and Snowy Outside ...

... so what better excuse to get crafting!

Actually it didn't really go to plan as my mojo seized up!!!
I managed one card though and I'd like to enter it into a few challenges

Supplies Used:
Stencil: Memory Box
Clearly Besotted: Say it in Style Sentiment
Doodlebug: Sprinkles
Distress Inks: Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed
& Scattered Straw

I decided to try out a new challenge for me using a sketch
from Crazy4Challenges but I think if it's allowed they have 3 challenges
on the go so I'd like to link up to all three:

the idea of this one is to use the image as a blank canvas for a new craft room
and in addition to stamps and paper the first things that came into my head to install
in this gorgeous room should be used in my project ... so I'm going with inks and bling

Other Challenges:

CAS on Sunday: Stencil It

Ok that's all for me today.
Thanks for stopping by and I'll catch up with you soon.

heartfelt one instead ... and it wouldn't be a blog post
if I didn't enter a few challenges - so here goes ...

Addicted to Stamps & More: Anything Goes

Whoops! Quick edit here - I missed the boat at
Addicted to Stamps & More but as luck would have it

Hi fellow crafters ... hope you are all well today
I've another Christmas card to share with you and
if I think back to last year by the time December came along
I was well ready to move on to the next season of cards!

The problem is there's so many adorable Christmas products out there
we've just got to keep making them! HoHoHo!

Anyway enough of that cheesy Christmas stuff here's my card ...

Card Recipe:
Gold 'crackled' cardstock: The Papermill Shop
Circle Baubles using Uniko Studio: Background Builders circles
with a wiggly bit of gold foil card for the top
Sentiment: Clearly Besotted Little Puddings stamp set,
which is heat embossed in gold onto vellum
Banners: Sizzix Framelits
Gems, nailheads and gold metallic 'twine' from my stash
... Apologies this twine is so springy just noticed the bows
must have moved as I took the picture ... Grrrr!

Ok that's all from me today.

MINI CREATURES, BUGS & CREEPY CRAWLIES

Morning Crafty Pals
Here we are again ... Saturday which means

and this week it's all about Little Creatures
so dig out your stamps and goodies and get busy!

I've raided my digi images and this one is a pre-coloured
stamp from Pollycraft which I've embellished with
Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents.
The sentiment is Clearly Besotted: from the In the Frame set
stamped onto a mini banner die from WPlus9
To add a little interest to my card I've embossed a horizontal strip
using a die from the MFT Die-Namics Blueprint 13 set.

I'm also entering this card at CAS on Sunday where the
current theme is 'Emboss It' and hopefully this little strip will suffice!

Next up I've used another digi stamp - this one was free
but I'm sorry can't remember where I picked it up from.
The sentiment is Clearly Besotted: Sweet Little Sentiments,
Scalloped die also Clearly Besotted then for added interest
bakers twine, gems from my stash and glossy accents.

I've gone a bit crazy on the colour for this one as I'm following the
colour palate at ColourQ plus the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches but
hopefully you can still make out my little bugs!

Stamps Used: Clearly Besotted: Build a Bug with matching dies
& sentiment from: It's Your Birthday
Uniko Studio: Flower Power 6
Design paper is Doodlebug and the caterpillars are drizzled with
more glossy accents.

Ok that's all for me so over to you talented people
and I can't wait to see your creations - you certainly pulled
all the stops out with the 2 of something challenge last week.

So have a fun and crafty weekend and I'll be back soon.

LET'S DANCE

Morning Blog buddies and thanks for stopping by today.
We are back round to Saturday again and another
theme challenge at Less is More

Face the Music & Dance

For this card I've used a digi-stamp from Delicious Doodles - Charleston,
teamed with a Frame-it die from My favourite things to make a shaker card.
The 'Happy' word die and Anniversary sentiment are both Clearly Besotted.

The sequins in my shaker are from Doodlebug with hearts from my stash.
To finish off a strip of DP from Echo Park and some gems for sparkle!

I'd like to enter this over at CAS on Sunday where the theme is
'Sequins Celebration'

For your blog

Does ''You Rock' count?!?!? Hope so as the die-cut sentiment was a lucky freebie
ages ago from Dies to Die for and I've been hanging on to it waiting for
the ideal opportunity to use it ... and here it is.
It's adhered to the card on 3d adhesive to add some dimension.
The guitar has been in my stash for about 10 years!
I can't remember where it's from it's so old.
AND for that bit of dazzle ... I've added some nail heads from Josy Rose.

And last but not least ....

Here's two little girl cuties using Lili of the Valley images with the addition
of twine and DP from my stash, sentiments from Paper Smooches and
Clearly Besotted plus Wink of Stella and Glamour Dust.

Ok as is the norm I'm handing over to you talented crafters
to join in the challenge and have some musical fun.
You've all done a fantastic job on the 'Beverages' challenge
last week and I know you'll do brilliantly with this one too.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Happy crafting!

HAPPY DAYS

Hello Blog friends, once again I've been AWOL for a few days.
To be honest I've not been too well so feeling sorry for myself!
Got a permanent headache that just won't shift despite painkillers.
Even my beloved crafting has taken a back-seat! Grrr!

Anyway to brighten the mood my daughter got her GCSE results today and I'm so proud.
She doesn't want me to discuss it but she's done really well and I'm so happy for her.
She's certainly worked hard and deserves her fabulous A*s & A grades.

So I decided to make a card for a couple of challenges and although a congrats card
it's not the normal exam type I've been doing of late! In fact it's one for the box!

Materials Used:
Uniko Studio: Strike a Pose stamp set
Mama Elephant: Just Hatched sentiments
TAWS: Funny Faces stamps
Gems and die-cut pram from my stash.

Challenges:
Uniko Studio: Special Occasions
CAS on Sunday: Baby Card
Addicted to Stamps & More: Clean & Simple
Addicted to CAS: Geometric
(might be pushing it with this one but hoping the circles count)

Thanks for stopping by my blog, much appreciated and I'll catch up with you all soon.
