Less is More #268

Morning friends it's time to announce this week's challenge at  Less is More and it's THEME week! 
We'd like you to create a card using inspiration from 'What's Outside Your Window' (you can use your imagination / dreams on this if you wish)
We've also got another guest designer with us this week; Lou from A Devon Kitchen Table and I'm sure she'd love you to pay a visit to her blog!
So here's my cards and I've tried to go with what IS outside my window!

First up we have a lot of trellis with climbing plants in our garden

and I've tried to create the trellis using a grid stencil from My Favourite Things.

The blooms in real life are Clematis but these ones are from the 

Altenew Vintage Flower set with a sentiment from Mama Elephant: Make a Wish

Next up I wanted a monochromatic look and although my house isn't 

Lakeland stone I've used another My Favourite Things stencil to 

create a 'brick-effect' wall with a window die from Clearly Besotted.

The birds and tree stamps are from Card-io Majestix and judging by

the racket these birds seem to make outside my bedroom window at 

all hours I think there must be more than three!

I was inspired by the colours and the birds so kept my card

close to those themes.

Less is More #222

Hi there, it's Saturday ... Yippee What's more it's a bank holiday weekend in the UK! so a little bit more crafty time - and I'm MEGA excited!!!
WHY? ... I'll tell you .... 
Super duper A* talent Jen (ex-LIM DT) and I have arranged a  first time meet up and crafty session this weekend!
I cannot wait! I'm hoping to learn some tricks and tips and  so looking forward to watching a complete pro at work.

It's colour week this week and we'd like you to use opposites on the colour wheel; here's my cards.

 

I've completely stepped out of my comfort zone here as I would

never put Orange and Turquoise together but I love it!

It's heat-embossed in Black then water coloured using DI in Spiced Marmalade

(incidentally, I've NEVER watched Create & Craft TV until 2 weeks ago
when I heard Card-io were being featured and having met Wendy at a couple
of craft shows I simply had to watch ... and buy of course!)

Hi there ... I made a couple of cards last night to show you and enter a few challenges so here goes ...

FMS #117 & CAS(E) This Sketch #114

It's Mothers' Day today in the UK so hope all you lovely mothers out there have had a fabulous day. We've been entertaining the mothers this weekend hence the late post!
... and having made not 1 but 2 cards for Merry Monday this week (to stick to my New Years resolution) I've come to post them and the  gates are firmly shut on the challenge! The theme WAS monochrome blue.
Thankfully I'd combined them with sketch challenges so at least you know I tried to fulfil my New Years promise!
