Less is More #272

Morning friends it's that time again ... are you wide awake?

It's a Theme week challenge at Less is More and we'd like you to

USE 3 STAMPS (this can be 3 individual ones or the same 3 multiple times)

Here's my examples and as always there's plenty more inspiration over on 

the main blog HERE from my fellow teamies and if you hop across to 

their personal blogs there's more info and possibly a few extras!

3 stamps here are Honey Doo Crafts Flowers for Design (stem & blooms)

plus a sentiment from WPlus9 Doodle buds. 

This one uses a 3-step stamp from Altenew: Painted Butterflies

with an inlaid die-cut 'Hello' from Paper Smooches.

I've gone ultra CAS even for me here using a couple of newbies

to my stash ... Sending and Hugs sentiments from Avery Elle Sentimental

plus the floral bloom is from Newton's Nook Fancy floral.

The codeword over at CAS-ology this week is PINK so I'm heading

over there with this one.

Less is More #267

Hello there crafty friends it's that time again ... Saturday morning and a new challenge is brewing over at Less is More!
Guess what though ... it's that dreaded ONE LAYER week too and our theme is  'The sentiment takes centre stage' or the main focus of your card. 
My teamies have worked their little socks off so please pay them a visit and  leave some friendly feedback plus we have a guest designer for this week, Irina and her card an details are over on the main blog ...
but before you head off here's my cards ...

The focus here is 'Fabulous Friend' sentiment from Uniko: All Occasion Sentiments #3 which is inked in chalk inks then heat-embossed with Hero Arts Clear Sparkle EP. The flowers are also Uniko: Flower Power #5 and Background Builders Vines. To finish there's a delicate Homespun Stitched edge from MFT Die-namics along the base.

For this one I received a surprise happy letter from my super duper blog buddy Sandie of London Days having swooned over some of her fabulous die-cuts a few weeks ago. So she sent me the negative splatter die-cut which I've used here  as a stencil with more chalk inks and some silver Encore pigment ink. I'f I'm honest I'm struggling with what to do with the die-cut now but it's in my stash when I have a light-bulb moment!!!! The sentiment is from Mama Elephant and I've added some  sparkly sequins and extra stars from the sentiment set for added interest.

Last but not least I'm a little worried that there's a lack of white space on 

this one but I specifically bought this sweetie set from Avery Elle for this 

challenge and because I couldn't resist the images. Then as luck would have it

I went to a Sincerely Yours craft fair a few weeks ago and came across

Honey Doo Crafts for the first time and couldn't leave without buying this 

sentiment ... not that I keep my jelly and licorice sweeties in the fridge!

The images are coloured using zig clear brush pens and coated with wink 

of stella and glossy accents unless they are matt sweeties like the love hearts!

Less is More #265

Hello there Limettes are you ready for our latest challenge at Less is More?
... but first ... if you haven't already swung by the main Less is More blog you certainly need to as we are announcing our brand new Design Team members. I'm sure you'd like to know who they are and welcome them in true LIM fashion!

... Our challenge for you this week is to use or feature some wire on your card
First up is one for the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge although try as I might that wire had a mind of it's own and wouldn't let my butterfly sit to the right of the card as per the sketch so hope I can get away with this!!!

 I've coiled some wire around a paint brush then stretched it to sit behind 

my die-cut sentiment from Hero Arts: Stamp & Cut birthday. The butterfly is from 

Clearly Besotted: Elegant Butterfly Duo and die cut from a scrap of distressed / 

watercolour spritzing! To finish a few gems from my stash.

When I made this card I realised I'd been inspired by a couple of our recent

Less is More challenges ... 'Use a Stem' and 'Add Texture'

So I came across Honey Doo Crafts and their stamps for the first time 

last weekend and here's one of the gorgeous sets I purchased: Flowers for Design.

It's teamed with a sentiment from Clearly Besotted: Say it In Style. My 'wire' is coiled 

round a pen initially then flattened against the card to create the stem and I've used

one of the We R Memory Keepers Next Level embossing folders to add some

interest to the background plus some sequins and dew drops from Pretty Pink Posh.

and last but not least ....

... just to show that you don't have to use 'actual' wire here's a card using the 'birds on a wire' stamp from Inkylicious with a  little bit of smooshing for the background, an off-set panel from  MFT Die-Namics: Blueprint 15, sentiment from Clearly Besotted: Say it in Style and sequins from Little Things by Lucy Abrams.
