Uniko Reveal, Release and GIVEAWAY Blog Hop - February 2018

Hi there and thanks for visiting me again today!

We've made it through all those days of Sneaky Peeks and Introductions to bring you the BIG Reveal, Release and GIVEAWAY of this month's new products from Uniko and here's a few more of my creations showcasing these fabulous sets, which are now available in the shop HERE and waiting for you to buy!

I've gone all out rainbows on these first 2 using Zig Clear Brush pens to create a watery background! The first one uses the Kindness Blooms with a sentiment from the Birthday Sentiments and the second one uses the Background Blocks Party Confetti with a small sentiment from one of the older sets: Simply Said I

How about an inky blast featuring another sample from the Life is a Song set. I found this pre-prepared brusho inky panel and simple stamped it with the images then die-cut a heart using WPlus9 Heart stack then popping it back into the panel on fun foam. One of my sisters is a musician and I saw her for the first time in almost 18 months at the weekend so made a bumper pack of musical cards for her as a treat.

Next up, using the Kindness Blooms in a tone on tone style, stamped with Versamark ink then shimmered with a Tonic Nuvo Shimmer pen. The sentiment is from the freebie set from last month plus 'Thanks' from the Kindess Blooms set. For added interest I've used a Gerbera die from MFT, popped up on 3d foam to highlight my sentiment circle.

All that's left for me to do is set you off on the traditional Design Team Blog Hop and wish you luck.

Details about prizes and rules are over on the Uniko blog HERE so if you get lost along the way just head back there.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like what you've seen these last few days
and here's the FULL images of the sets we've been showcasing!

We also have 5 new stencils to add to the range and here's the images ...

Uniko - Introducing Spring Botanicals Daffodil

Hi There,

I'm back with some more introductions for you today as we showcase another beautiful floral set from Uniko, featuring that springtime favourite; daffodils.

I've also teamed it with sentiments from the Birthday Sentiments set introduced yesterday as it was my Mum's birthday this week so the card worked a treat to celebrate the occasion. It certainly was a BIG birthday but I didn't want to spoil the elegance of the blooms by adding a '70' on it!

Firstly I stamped the images on Bristol watercolour cardstock then heat embossed the daffodils in white before watercolouring with Zig Clear Brush Pens. I fuzzy cut the blooms and stems to create this little bouquet along a stitched curved border by MFT. The dotty yellow patterned paper is by Lawn Fawn.

As the set includes a Mother's Day sentiment I couldn't resist creating a card on that theme too although I think this one will have to go to my M-I-L to avoid the 'deja vu' experience for my own Mum!

I'll be back with some more introductions tomorrow before the BIG reveal, release and giveaway on Wednesday! The release schedule can be found over on the Uniko blog HERE as well as links and peeks at how my fellow teamies have worked their magic!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for the next introduction.

Uniko - Background Blocks: Scattered Polka Dots & Simply Said Blocks

Hi there, I'm so pleased you've joined me again today as it's Introduction time ... over at Uniko as we get ready for this month's release of new stamps!

Today we are introducing 2 sets: Background Blocks: Scattered Dots and Simply Said Blocks. I hope you like how I've played with these newbies!

First up; embossed in WOW gold embossing powder onto two pieces of card stock before die-cutting with a stitched circle die from Simon Says Stamp. A die-cut 'congrats' greeting from Lawn Fawn in glittered paper, mounted on acetate to create a floating sentiment then a little block sentiment from the new set! All mounted on 3d foam and a few sequins for added interest.

This time stamped in an Ombre style of lilacs and purples using the Altenew range of inks, framed by the aperture of a stitched rectangle die from MFT with some block sentiments mounted on 3d foam.

I hope this has whet your appetite for more and why not head on over to the Uniko blog HERE to check out the full release schedule as well as find the links to peep at how may fellow teamies on the Design Team have used this set.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for the next introduction.

Less is More #342

Woah! I don't know where that week went but it certainly doesn't seem like seven days since my last blog post for Less is More! This summer needs to SLOW down a little!

Anyway it's the turn of our Theme week and our theme should certainly fit in well with the time of year so have a little fun and I hope you'll join us in creating a CLEAN and SIMPLE card depicting 'your perfect holiday'

I've just the one card today and as Susan beat me to the 'caravan' image for last week's Vehicle challenge I was determined to use this cute little holiday home in my card this week.

the images are from Avery Elle: Home Sweet Home, Lawn Fawn: Life is Good and Paper Smooches: Get Outta Town. I've used Promarkers to colour the images and the caravan is fuzzy cut and remounted in the little scene on 3d foam for added interest.

There's some stunning ideas over on the main blog HERE - as always the Design Team have worked their magic and we are also joined by Pauline from Crafting with Cotnob (our winner for June) and she's created a super cute and clever holiday card for her Guest Designer spot.

Once again our sponsor is Seven Hills Crafts and if you play along throughout this month you could be our lucky winner of a gift certificate to spend in the online store.

Thanks for calling by and catch up soon

Uniko Challenge #41 - Reminder

Hi there, I'm back with a little reminder about our current challenge over at Uniko. It's an easy one and as we're fast approaching Father's Day here in the UK it's a perfect opportunity to create a masculine card for that very occasion. It's Masculine with a twist on Father's Day and I've created 2 cards using some of the Background Builders sets by Uniko which I think always come in handy for those guys!

This one uses the Round in Circles BG Builder, with the second one using BG Builder - Triangulate. I've inked all the images with Altenew Inks and added a 'Father's Day' sentiment from the Simply Said II set. The die-cut Celebrate above is by Waffle Flower and the 'Cheers' one, below is by Lawn Fawn. Both of these are mounted on 3 pieces of cardstock to create some added dimension.

I hope you feel inspired to play along and as always there's plenty of fantastic creations by my fellow teamies, so why not head over to the Uniko blog HERE to check out the links and pay them a visit! I'm sure they'd appreciate it!

Once again we are joined by the wonderful Hannelie AKA Desert Diva, one of our previous Uniko Challenge winners and guest designing for us this month. Do pop along and visit her blog and leave a friendly word and some love.

You have until Friday, 23rd June to link up to the challenge and all the details you need about prizes and how to play can be found over at Uniko HERE

As always thanks for calling by my blog today and I hope you feel inspired and will play along with us!

Less is More #312

Morning friends, are you ready for this week's challenge at

Less is More

It's our THEME week and we've chosen

New Beginnings

I have to admit I was struggling with ideas and mojo this week and everything
I tried didn't quite work and ended up in the 'you know where'! So pretty
basic examples here but I'm sure if you skip across to the main blog HERE
my fellow teamies haven't let you down and as ever their cards are simply
oozing with classy and elegant designs.

I fancied making a distressed sky using purples and pinks and I
quite like how it turned our with a little spritz of perfect pearls for added
interest and sparkle. I've used a border die by Clearly Besotted along
with sentiments from their 'Home Sweet Home' set too.

Next up a couple of Baby congrats cards for my 'good to have in' box!
These use the Just Hatched set from Mama Elephant and design paperby Lawn Fawn.

Hope you'll play along and have some fun.
Thanks for calling by and I'll be back soon!

Uniko Challenge #37

Hello there friends
it's time for a quick reminder about our monthly challenge over at

Uniko

It's a colour challenge for this one and we've chosen 'Rainbow' which is
always a popular theme so hope you'll join in and play along.

Here's mine using a combination of floral stamps from various Uniko sets.

I masked off a circle to begin with to allow space for my sentiment then
stamped around it in various rainbow shades. I've used the Ranger dye inks
for this as they are crisp and vibrant although they stain stamps quite badly.
The sentiment is a combination from the All Occasion sentiments set and
Celebrate with Cake. To finish some clear sparkly sequins.

As always the Design Team have created some rainbow magical cards
and there's links to their creations over on the main Uniko blog HERE

We've also got Hannelie (Desert Diva) joining us as our guest designer
for this month so hope you'll stop by her blog and leave some love.

Ok I hope you feel inspired to play along and I can't wait to see your
creations. I'm heading over to Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge
as it's Anything Goes (showcasing Lawn Fawn). My strip of design paper is by LF!

As always, thanks for calling by and I'll be back tomorrow with the
latest challenge for Less is More.

Honey I Shrunk The Kit #8

Hey friends, guess what ... it's time for another day out with the honeys
and I'm the lucky host for this one! It was a little daunting thinking
of what to put together having received such wonderful kits
from the others! In the end I went with a

Monster Birthday theme

There's a picture and list of my goody pack at the end of the post
Here's our team and I absolutely adore playing along with this
wonderful bunch of talented ladies!
Hazel Hodgkins: Hazel's Paper Designs
Sarah Gray: Funky Fossil Designs
Shona Chambers: Twine Around
Sandie Munroe: London Days
Sarah Platt: Sazzle Dazzle Crafts ... that's ME!

I had a go at creating a Northern Lights (of a fashion) night sky using Distress Inks
with multiple planets, spaceships and rockets 'whizzing' by, viewed though the
Stitched Framed 'film strip' die. Adding a couple of extra images from
the CBS set to create a BG and a wrap of twine adds a little more interest.

Well I just can't resist going overboard with silliness when you've got these
cute little monsters in tow! I coloured them with promarkers and set them
inside the circle frames which are filled with clear seed bead or bubbles with
a starry background paper from the Doodlebug papers!!!

I just had to use the googlie eyes somewhere and I also had a bit more of the
'Northern Sky' panel left so used it as another background here for my googlie
aliens sat on the 'moon' as a space ship zooms by!

You can probably tell I was running out of ideas here but decided to go
full on vibrant and 'busy' with the design paper and mini images, another
googlie eye and I wanted to showcase the sentiment in particular.

I had a lot of fun making these and I'm going to have even more fun
as I zip around the other honeys' blogs to see how they played with my kit!

So here's a little piccy of what I sent around the world which included:

Clearly Besotted Stamps & Dies: Out of This World, Eye on You, Blast Off
Lawn Fawn Stamps & Dies: Monster Mash
Pretty Pink Posh Peek-a-boo & Stitched Frame dies
Doodlebug:Sprinkles, Bakers Twine & Design Paper
Misc. Googlie eyes

As always thanks for calling by and hope you enjoyed
a giggle looking at these crazy creations!
