FEELING POORLY

Back again as I've just made two cards to enter the Less is More Challenge which is a one layer card week and the theme is Get Well.

While thinking about how to play this one yesterday I received a notification that one of the companies I have bought digi stamps from in the past (Clearly Digi Stamps) is to close at the end of this month :-( and I've only recently discovered them so extra sad ...

BUT every cloud has a silver lining and first of all they have a 25% offer on all products until the end of September and not only that Laurie Wilson of Doodle Pantry Digital Shop contacted me to explain that any illustrations she produced for Clearly Digi Stamps will become the property of Doodle Pantry from 1st October and will be available here.

So with a touch of sadness I decided to buy a couple of the digi stamps and adapt them for my get well card and I was torn between the 2 images so I'm entering them both! Here's the first one ...

CRISP AND SPARKLING CONGRATS

Happy Sunday crafty pals

I'm late today but I have been crafting away so may have more to post later. In fact the weather is so disgusting today that there's simply nothing better to do than sneak off to the craft cupboard!

Just taking a breather from the cutting and sticking though to post my entry to this week's Colour Throwdown Challenge. Although the colour scheme is Autumnal I decided not to use leaves on this one and went for one of my new sets from Uniko Studio instead.

Hope you are all keeping warm and dry indoors - I don't envy those doing the Great North Run today...brrrrrr!

ROSES AND A CUTE TEDDY BEAR

It's Friday ... hooray!

I was visited my sister, niece and BIL in Liverpool and I can't believe how grown up my little niece is since I saw her a couple of weeks ago...potty trained and chattering away! Such a cutie and great having a catch up.

I was up and out early and back home late so the craft cupboard was shut all day :-( BUT I did have some time for crafty play today because I wasn't at work and it was quite productive thankfully though not a Christmas card in sight! Should I be getting concerned?

Anyway here's my post for today which is an anniversary card for my parents for later this month - I've got everything crossed that they WON'T be checking my blog! LOL

I've used the sketch from this weeks Freshly Made Sketches Challenge but as the image is quite large it's on a square card rather than the rectangle one in the sketch ... hope that's ok???

SPOILT FOR CHOICE

Yippee!!!!!! This is my first post using my new daylight lamp for photography as recommended by some lovely people out there in blogland. So impressed - this was taken about 11.30pm and proper dark outside just didn't get round to posting it so late.

We'd had a parent's meeting at my son's school earlier in the evening about Higher Education...scary stuff! Why does time go so fast? It doesn't seem a minute since we kitted him out in his tiny school uniform for Reception class and now he's in his final year of education and possibly off to university this time next year.

So today I am entering my very first Clearly Besotted Challenge and I'm excited because I'm sooooo loving the stamp sets I've bought recently. The reason I couldn't enter previously is because 'I got no Clearly Besotted products' ... luckily I'm a bit spoilt for choice now (sorry to boast - just had generous birthday gifts last month) and bursting with excitement each time I open a new packet for a play! I may even have to enter again ... but we'll see.

ADDICTED TO BUTTERFLIES

Hi All,

Well it's certainly Autumnal, chilly and wet today - need to start thinking about boots and woolies me thinks! Grrrr!

So you may remember that I have been very lucky recently in that I have received some beautiful new crafty goodies (mainly for my birthday) and these have given me the nudge to get back into stamping. I'm torn between Clearly Besotted and Uniko Studio as they both have beautiful stamps but today I'm mad on butterflies and I make no apologies if you see them popping up over the next few posts!

This card is to enter into the Paper Players Colour Challenge and you'll notice from the colour link below that it features not only gorgeous colours but butterflies too so armed with my coloured inks and new butterfly stamps this is what I came up with:

LET'S TRY RETRO ...

Oh flip it's late again! I've been playing with my new stamps again and completely lost track of time! So a really, really quick post as it's work tomorrow and need to get a few things sorted.

Thanks again for all your photography tips ... the daylight light is on order and I already have the tent so fingers crossed I should be sorted in that department soon. Experiments to follow!! I managed to get this photo taken when it was still light and fortunately there's been a bit of sunshine here this afternoon so good, good.

Onto my card today and it's a joint challenge post; Dynamic Duos and Seize the Sketch. I've been fiddling about with the Seize the Sketch one for a few days but when I saw the colour scheme I decided to try out my new set of stamps from Uniko Studio and make it a bit retro so think it could make a male or female birthday card.

Thanks for popping by and catch you all soon.

A SMILE FOR BABY LAUNDRY

First of all I need to thank everyone who has offered advice on photography in the 'dark' - it's much appreciated and I'm going to be trying a few 'tricks' in the hope that my posts are still worth posting through Autumn and Winter! :-)

So on to today's post and I'm hoping this will pass for the CAS(E) this sketch challenge. I love making baby cards - a bit like Christmas time with all that love and excitement. I'm helping with a local fund-raising event next month and need some 'occasion' cards for the box to sell and as it's a Digistamp image I've used I'm going to pop this in to their monthly challenge too.

I made a few of these including the girlie ones but I always prefer the 'blues'...think it must be imagining the cute, little chubby knees in the romper suit! LOL!
