PRESENTS GALORE

Hi All

Just popping in with a mega quick post - sorry just sometimes time is in short supply but hope to be a little quieter after Friday's event.

I've made this card to enter two challenges; CAS(E) this Sketch and the Fusion Card Challenge where those packages all stacked up inspired my choice of stamp plus it's one of my newbies from Clearly Besotted which I've been itching to play with. If you saw my post at the weekend you'll know that Clearly Besotted celebrated their first birthday this weekend with a fantastic blog hop plus a 10% birthday discount so check it out here but you'll need to be quick as the hop and discount finish at midnight tomorrow (8th October) and some products have sold out already - just shows how fabulous they are. So here's a birthday celebration card in their honour.

That's all for me today and hope to post something later in the week - time permitting.

WE'RE ON THE MOVE!

Well actually I'm not on the move but the card I've made is for someone who is!

I bought the stamp set and dies from Clearly Besotted last week at the Port Sunlight craft event and couldn't wait to get home and play. I've fancied this set for a while and it's been out of stock so grabbed it while I could! So last night I was having a wee play with the set using some bits and bobs of paper and card ... can you guess where this is going???

Yep you guessed bits and bobs = snippets = Pixies Crafty Snippet Playground Challenge which is where I'm heading with this little card. I think I'm into pink right now! - Can you tell?

Anyway that's all for me for today - but hope to pop back tomorrow with something for CAS(E) This Sketch.

Oh before I go one of my bloggy pals is offering some very generous candy to celebrate her magazine cover girl status so please pop over to see Vicky and find out what it's all about.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday. Hugs

Sarah

SWEET SIXTEEN WITH A FLORAL TWIST

Crikey ... look at the time! Yes late but I don't tend to go to bed early and I'll let you into a secret ... I'm staying up for the Clearly Besotted release at midnight! Very sad I know but don't think I'll sleep until I've seen the fabulous new release available in the store as I've been a wee bit excited seeing all the fantastic inspiration this week.

Anyway onto my card and I have to say I've been a very busy bee today getting ready for the craft event on Friday and justified I think in that it's been World Cardmaking Day! So my lovely blog buddy Nessa (The Crafty Laydee) has set a second challenge. What a truly generous lady and this time it's a floral challenge; so basically anything with a flower or flowers!

So as well as cardmaking I also decorate Keepsake / Memory Boxes for special occasions and I always like to create a coordinated card too. So I thought I'd show you what I've been playing with today. This will be displayed on my craft stall on Friday. My daughter and her friends are all coming up 16 so thought they'd love this idea; in fact Faye (my daughter) bought one of these boxes for her friend at a local card shop and it was pretty boring so I offered to jazz it up a little! This one is a copy of the original one. I've also made a baby blue box, baby pink box and wedding box all with matching cards - is it any wonder the guillotine has conked out!

Well it's getting close to CBS release so here's my card plus a photo with the matching box.

BIT OF A PICKLE ...

Happy World Cardmaking Day and hope you are all beavering away in your craft spaces!

Just a really quick post for me again today as I'm busy getting things organised for the fund-raising event I'm doing on Friday and with 3 days working not sure when it's all going to get done!

Plus I'm in a little pickle today (hence the title)! Last night my right hand man (super-sonic x-cut guillotine) took to its sick bed! It has done me proud for about 8 years and it's a shame it's not got a milometer for cuts performed but there's a definite crack in the lever and I know its days / cuts are numbered so I'm going to have to be easy on it until my new one arrives! Having been to my local craft shop this morning they were out of stock so good old Amazon to the rescue. Just hope my faithful friend lasts out until the new one arrives!

Anyway onto my post and it's my entry to the Less is More Challenge and for once as soon as I saw the theme we'd been set by Chrissie and Jen I knew what I wanted to do, so here it is...

Card Recipe:

Sentiment & Christmas Tree Die from Clearly Besotted and if you pop HERE you'll see they are celebrating their 1st Birthday with a very generous and inspirational blog hop.

JUST IN THE NICK OF TIME ... I HOPE

Happy Thursday Friends

Yippee - no work today BUT I've a load of internet type chores to do before a busy crafting session can commence! AND why does my computer decide to go slow when I've loads to do???

Anyway I've been wanting to make this card all week to enter the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge along with A Gem of A Challenge, where the theme is use black on your card. Last night I had a tiny little crafty session and this is what I came up with and having just looked on the CAS(E) This Sketch site I've got less than 2 hours to post my entry!!! Hence the quick post!

There's an Anything Goes challenge on at Papertake Weekly too so I'm popping over there with my card too.

Sorry it's quick, hope you are all well and enjoying some crafty time.

Sarah

PS. Looking at this photo I've not done a card recipe as it's a computer generated sentiment with sparkly silver and black papers from my stash, some silver pearls from The Hobby House which I bought at Port Sunlight last week and the zig zags are made using my MFT Die-Namics chevron dies.

THE SKY'S THE LIMIT

Late again but as they say better late than never eh and can someone tell me what happened to September?!!!

I'm so busy crafting at the moment as I am helping at a School fund-raising event a week on Friday and was asked if I'd have a card stall. What a fabulous idea but heavens will I have enough to sell??? Arrrrgh! Every time I look at my stash I think of another occasion that's missing! So burning the candle at both ends at the moment so please bear with me if I'm missing your posts.

Anyway I had a little time to make my entry for Less is More which is a sketch challenge this week and I couldn't wait to have an excuse to use my 'Rocket' stamp and die set from Clearly Besotted. Then I noticed ColourQ having just released their challenge for the week had colours as I intended to use so here goes. Apologies if the red looks slightly pink in the photos but I can assure you it's called ladybird red!

Card Recipe:

Image & Sentiment: Rocket stamps and die from Clearly Besotted
Papers/Cardstock: The Papermill Shop
Cuttlebug stars embossing folder
Framelits Circle & Pennant Dies
Glossy accents to highlight parts of my rocket and flame

AND THREE POSTS IN A ROW!

Yep that's me again just with my second entry for the Color Throwdown and Simon Says Stamp Challenges.

If anyone knows how I can add 2 photos to one post but link different photos to different challenges please can you let me know. It doesn't seem to like it when I try it so I'm thinking it's perhaps not possible.

Thanks guys - catch up with you soon.

COLOUR AND SKETCH COMBO

Phew I've managed it again - 3 challenges with one card.

Sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches #105 and the Colours from Color Throwdown #CTD261 plus Simon Says Stamp have an Anything Goes Challenge so here goes!

I'm not too sure on this one so I'm going to be cheeky and post a second one which I started last week for the Color Throwdown and Simon Says Challenges.

Arrrgh! Almost forgot I've used Snippets so this is heading over to the Playground for Pixies Crafty Snippet Playground - and I'm thrilled to have been picked for a prize there this week. Yippee - I'm one lucky lady!
