HaHa ... the rain is so heavy outside that I couldn't resist naming my post!

Years ago I had a German pen pal and she used to tell me this is what the English people say when it rains!

Anyway a very quick post as I've a mountain of things to do and a couple of challenge cards and first up I must apologise for the photography. I'm still trying to get to grips with the best place to photograph in my new craft room. Hubby (Mr Dazzle) took these on his way out to work this morning but I've only just got chance to look at them! Hmmmm! Think a little work may be required later!!!

So first up is for the Uniko Challenge where it's a colour theme this month.
I've used my newly purchased gorgeous Gerbera stamp set with a sentiment from Flower Power which has been embossed onto an MFT Die-damics Fishtail flag.

I love the tiled effect I've seen on blogland and this image works perfectly I think.
To finish I've added a couple of gems and some purple metallic cord from my stash.

Next up is my entry to the ColourQ challenge and as soon as I saw this I thought ... Argggh!
I've not got a card off to my US relatives for the 4th July. Looks like I'll have to cyber-send this one!

Supplies Used:
Clearly Besotted: Geometric I stamps & dies
Papermania: Textured cardstock
Josy Rose: Nailheads
Uniko Studio: Sentiment from Flower Power

Ok, I'll be back tomorrow and thanks for stopping by.

  1. Wow! The Gerbera looks stunning in those colours & using the tile effect is FAB. So happy to read you've a dedicated space to create, makes it so much fun :) Thank you for joining in on the Uniko Studio challenge. Hugs Bev x

  2. I love gerberas. I had them in my wedding bouquet! Love the tiled effect on your card. x

  3. I love your patriotic card for your US relatives! It's simple and sweet! Thanks for playing along with us at colourQ.

And as regards photographing your cards, I'm always trying to tweak mine! Have you tried a light box? I can never get photographing my cards in natural light to look quite right so I snap photos of mine in a light box that I've got lit from the top, left and right. A few tweaks in my editing software and I've got a pretty good pic. You could always check the forums at Splitcoast Stampers for some ideas too. Good luck finding a solution that works for you!

  4. Awesome fun cards, especially the ColourQ one! Love the simplicity of it!
I have a hand-made "light box" that I use for my cards, very inexpensively made of foam-core board. I can send you photos of it if you can get all the stuff at walmart! I do adjust my photos in Picasa or Picmonkey too! And I am a camara idiot, so if I can do it, anyone can!
So glad you played with us at the CQC and used our colors!

  5. Gorgeous gerbera, Sarah ... the tile effect is fabulous! Love the delicious CAS-ness of your flag ... brilliant! Anita :)

  6. Sarah I love both of your cards, the flag rocks! Thank you so much for sharing with us at the colourQ!
