CHRISTMAS SPARKLE WITH APPLES

Happy Sunday all and hope you are having fun
I've a couple of cards to share with you today and was hoping I might
manage another one but I've got some guests arriving shortly for
a few days so that could crush my crafting time!

So here goes ... I think I've become addicted to word dies of late!

Oh so pleased with myself for managing another Christmas make!
Still a long way to go with them but I've made a start!

This card is to enter the
  Freshly Made Sketches Challenge
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes (2nd entry)
Pixies Snippet Challenge as I've used a mini scrap of gold twine
which I found lurking amongst my ribbons and a scrap of gold foil card
to make the 'Merry' die cut from Clearly Besotted. which is double layered.

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Uniko Studio - Background Builders Christmas
Clearly Besotted: Christmas Sparkle (heat embossed in black)

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

A birthday card for a change but still loving the word dies!

This card is to enter:
Time Out challengesSTAMPING with the optional twist of APPLES
Addicted to Stamps & More: Clean & Simple

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Clearly Besotted - An Apple a Day (& matching die)
Clearly Besotted - Building Blocks
WPlus9 - Basic Birthday Banner Greetings
Clearly Besotted - 'Happy' Word die
Finally a good helping of glossy accents to
make the apple ultra shiny

Ok I'm going to see if I've time for a quick bit of crafting before
our friends arrived so I'll catch up with you all soon and
Thanks for stopping by.

IT'S ALL IN THE WORDS

WOW! Where has the week gone again.
Are you well and ready for another challenge

This week we've got a recipe for you
'Mostly Words'
so here's my ideas and you'll notice there's a 'purple' phase going on!

First up ... I really MUST get organised with some Christmas makes
so this challenge gave me the opportunity to try out some
brand new dies...

Uniko Studio: Snowflakes & Clearly Besotted Merry Word dies
The 'Christmas' sentiment is also from CBS
The 'Merry' is die-cut from shiny purple foil card and the snowflakes from
DCWV Glitter card. I've added a few gems and stars for some added interest too.

The panel is adhered flat to the card to keep down the postage cost as
that's definitely something to bear in mind with card making especially
at Christmas

Next up I've gone for bold, bright and colourful using design paper
from Doodlebug, Dies from My Favourite Things: Blueprints 13 and a
WPlus9 basic birthday banner with sentiment from the matching stamp set.
The BIG sentiment is from Uniko Studio: Make a Wish and to finish
some Doodlebug sequins to coordinate with the colours in the DP

Last but not least I couldn't resist this sentiment stamp from Hobbycraft;
not that I've got anyone in particular in mind for the card but it's fun.
The DP is Doodlebug because I just love their colours and I've used
Dies from Mama Elephant: Landscape Trio
Sizzix Framelits: Circles
My Favourite Things: Die-Namics Sentiment Strips
To finish some gems and pearls from my stash for that 'bit o'bling'

Ok talented crafters ... I'm handing over to you and I'll
be popping around your blogs to check up on your creations
throughout the week.

Have fun and thanks for stopping by.

FRIDAY FUN DAY

Happy Friday Everyone
It's weekend ... just!
Hooray! and after a busy week a bit of crafty time is just
what I needed today so I've 2 cards for you.

First up it's a Christmas card and I'm quite pleased with myself
as I'm trying my best to make Christmas cards, where possible for challenges
at the moment rather than rush them all off in December which usually happens!

I've used an Art Impressions stamp that's been in my stash forever.
I've stamped it 3 times using the generation stamping technique to add a little
depth to my forest. For a touch of glamour I've used fluffy stuff with glamour dust
to create some snow ... not sure it's obvious from the photo though.

My sentiments are Clearly Besotted - the 'Merry' one being one of the latest
word dies and to finish a few gems.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

GRAB OUR BADGE!

Next up I couldn't resist joining in this week's Muse Challenge
especially as my gorgeous blog buddy Anita is the GDT.

I spotted her love of Uniko products immediately and it reminded
me that I hadn't entered their challenge this month either ...
so I've 'Cased' Anita's card but used the colour palette from

Whoops! Quick edit here as forgot to mention my products!
I've used another Flower Power set from Uniko - No5
Sentiment is WPlus9 - Fanciful Feathers
Enamel Dots are Doodlebug and Vellum from my stash

Ok that's all for today; thanks for stopping by my blog and
I'll be back again tomorrow with a new Less is More Challenge

FLAPPIN' AROUND

Evening All ... and might I add a little earlier than my frequent late night posts!

I've discovered some super, new and fun digi stamps in the last week -
they aren't new as such because I've seen them popping up on blogland quite regularly
BUT they are new to me and I LOVE them!

So they are From The Heart Digi Stamps
and this one is Flappy Birthday
Like me you've no doubt seen lots of the 'birdbrain' images.

Here's my card which I'm entering over at From The Heart Stamps
Challenge Blog where Flappy Birthday is this month's image

Card Recipe:
Image: From The Heart Stamps - coloured with Promarkers
DP: Doodlebug
Dies: Paper Smooches Balloons - coloured with Promarkers,
loaded with glossy accents and wrapped with black metallic cord
Mama Elephant: Index Card (Speech Bubble)
My Favourite Things: Blueprints 13
Sentiment: Clearly Besotted - Going Places

Thanks for stopping by today and I'd love to hear what you think
of my new digi - discovery!

OOOOH DEER

Hello all and a happy Sunday to you.
Can't believe we've got another sunny day here so just
had the dog out for a brisk walk up to Kendal Castle and back in the sunshine.

Gorgeous stretching views and he just loves running about and getting filthy!

Anyway I'm here with another 'Autumnal' ish card to enter
a few challenges so here goes:

Apart from the card base everything is from my snippety bits box
so I'm taking this cute deer over to Pixies Crafty Snippet Playground this week.

I think he's rather cute and cuddly so I'm hoping that'll qualify to
drop him in at Addicted to CAS this week where the theme is 'Cuddly'

I've used a whole array of Clearly Besotted products:
Stamps: Woodland Pals & Sweet Little Sentiments
Dies: Woodland Pals, Landscape, Grass
so it's another entry to their Autumn Theme challenge

And last but not least the theme at CASology is 'Grass'
so I'm going to drop in there too.

Here's a little picture of the castle this morning but Cookie's hiding!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and hope you'll be enjoying some crafty time today.

LET'S DANCE

Morning Blog buddies and thanks for stopping by today.
We are back round to Saturday again and another
theme challenge at Less is More

Face the Music & Dance

For this card I've used a digi-stamp from Delicious Doodles - Charleston,
teamed with a Frame-it die from My favourite things to make a shaker card.
The 'Happy' word die and Anniversary sentiment are both Clearly Besotted.

The sequins in my shaker are from Doodlebug with hearts from my stash.
To finish off a strip of DP from Echo Park and some gems for sparkle!

I'd like to enter this over at CAS on Sunday where the theme is
'Sequins Celebration'

For your blog

Does ''You Rock' count?!?!? Hope so as the die-cut sentiment was a lucky freebie
ages ago from Dies to Die for and I've been hanging on to it waiting for
the ideal opportunity to use it ... and here it is.
It's adhered to the card on 3d adhesive to add some dimension.
The guitar has been in my stash for about 10 years!
I can't remember where it's from it's so old.
AND for that bit of dazzle ... I've added some nail heads from Josy Rose.

And last but not least ....

Here's two little girl cuties using Lili of the Valley images with the addition
of twine and DP from my stash, sentiments from Paper Smooches and
Clearly Besotted plus Wink of Stella and Glamour Dust.

Ok as is the norm I'm handing over to you talented crafters
to join in the challenge and have some musical fun.
You've all done a fantastic job on the 'Beverages' challenge
last week and I know you'll do brilliantly with this one too.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Happy crafting!

A LOVE OF GERBERAS

Have you noticed I seem to be getting later and later with these posts?
Having trouble with my internet connection so I've got everything
crossed that I'll be able to get this typed up and posted while it's playing ball!

So another pretty quick post and it's to enter at Timeout challenges
where there's a 'surprise / additional' challenge in honour of Beverley
from Uniko Studio who gave birth to twin boys at the beginning of the month.

So the the theme is 'Double the Joy'

Although I'm using one of my favourite Uniko Studio sets
Pure Florals: Gerbera I decided against a baby congrats.
Sadly, I don't know of any more imminent twins
and I've already sent a card off to Beverley.

I've used a diagonal stripe background stamp from My Favourite Things
and the flowers are coloured using Derwent Inktense Pencils and water.
To add a bit more interest there's some glossy accents to the centre of the
large flower and the stem of the smaller one and to finish
some enamel dots from Doodlebug and My Mind's Eye.

Ok there was a slight internet blip mid-way through this so
hoping all appears ok on the blog.

Thanks once again for stopping by today and catch up with you again soon.

AUTUMN IN THE WOODS

Evening All!
It's a bit late in the day I guess for blogging so it'll be brief!

I've made a cute little woodland scene using both the Woodland Pals stamp
and die set along with Autumn Flowers, both from Clearly Besotted Stamps.
The Scalloped edge die is also CBS along with the sentiment from Fresh Flowers.

The landscape dies are Mama Elephant - Landscape Trio: Creative Cuts

So onto the challenges I'd like to enter:

Clearly Besotted #13 - Autumn / Halloween Theme
Simon Says Stamp - Create your own background
Pixies Snippet Challenge - just because I've used lots of bits!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog

That's all for today and thanks for stopping by.

ANYONE FOR A BREW!

Morning Blog Buddies and thanks for stopping by.

It's Saturday ... YEAH!
Which means a new Less is More Challenge
This week it's a

ONE LAYER CARD
with the theme: Beverages

I'm sure you'll do great as you always do but to be honest I had very
little in my stash to play with for this challenge so it was tough

This one is a bit 'sneaky' for a one layer card but I was following the sketch from
this week's Freshly Made Sketches challenge and decided to position my image,
which is heat embossed in white,
through the aperture on the Doodlebug DP used for the insert.

As you have no doubt guessed I'm besotted with Clearly Besotted
products and even more so when they are on offer as this one was recently.
It's called Warm Wishes.

The 'speech bubble' die is from Mama Elephant - Index card set and
the checker-board stencil is MFT used with Distress inks.
A wrap of grosgrain ribbon and Doodlebug Sprinkles finishes it off.

Next up I've used the same stamp set from Clearly Besotted
but I'm playing along with Colour Q and CASology this time.

Before stamping I started out by running an MFT pierced rectangle die
through my Big Shot with a texture plate just to get an impression and add
a little interest to the otherwise plain card blank.

This week's theme at CASology is THREE
so I've got a tower of 3 coffee cups,
3 gems for a bit sparkle
and 3 wrap-rounds of twine

Ok that's all from me and not sure I'll get much crafting done today
as my parents are here but will be back when I can.

Can't wait to see what you come up with
Happy Crafting and catch up with you soon.

BOUNCING BABY BOYS

Hello Blog Pals

Hope you are all well and enjoying some lovely sunny rays plus crafting of course!

This is a mega quick post as I've suddenly realised I should have posted this at the weekend!

If you don't already know Beverley of Uniko Studio then you are missing a treat as not only are her card creations divine but last week she gave birth not just to one baby but TWO awesome twin boys.
So head over to the blog for some beautiful piccys of the newborns that made me go all gaga!

So her design team have ransacked and taken over the blog to give us the opportunity to wish Beverley and Karl huge congrats on the birth of their uber cute little boys and wish them loads of fun, gurgles, smiles and sheer happiness by posting baby cards; So here's mine

I couldn't resist inking up some of Beverley's own Uniko Studio stamps and these are from Sweet Baby and Strike a Pose plus a 'welcome' sentiment from Mama Elephant. To finish I've added gems and candy dots from my stash for some added sparkle for such a happy event.

That's all from me today but I'll catch up with you all again soon.
