The sentiment is from the Simply Said Birthday set
and it's heat-embossed in Hero Arts White EP.
I've also added some extra white detail to the butterflies
and perhaps gone a bit mad as it was a new, INKY white gel pen!
I also made another card with this set ... gone a bit inky mad this week!
It was initially for the Less is More challenge but due to the lack of
'white space' I decided it didn't fit so you may as well see it here instead ...
Having created an Distress Inky and splattered background
I've stamped the butterfly images and sentiment from the same set
(Bright Butterflies) with the 'friend' sentiment from All Occasion Sentiments #3
The images and sentiment are all heat embossed with Hero Arts white EP.
I hope you like how I've used this set and please remember to leave a
comment for each of the design team members to be eligible

Fabulous cards Sarah xx Jan
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards. On the first tab of motilin swarmed with great effect. The second is an amazing backdrop for a beautiful butterfly. Thank you for the inspiration.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Bozena
I adore the colours on your first card and love the added white details-spotted it straight away and wondered how you did it! Fab bg on card 2-you are so good at creating these bg x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful creations Sarah-just loving your "inky madness" ! lol!
ReplyDeleteThat Uniko butterfly set is sooo pretty the way you have used it :)
Have a lovely weekend,
Nessa xxx
Lovely cards Sarah. I like the distressed background you created with the second card. Thanks for explaining the extra white spots - I was trying to work out what you had added to have the variations.
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards. I love the colours and design of them both, but the top one has to be my favourite. xx
ReplyDeleteThe first card is lovely and bold and the second has to be one of the best I have seen made with this set. It's stunning!
ReplyDeleteLove both of these! The white details on the butterflies look fab - great idea :) I love your inky background on the second card too!
ReplyDeleteYou can predict my response to your stunning showcases here: SWOONING! Major swooning! Love the colourful kaleidoscope of butterflies on the first...so eye-catching. Your second is so pretty! I think this qualifies for CAS because you do have plenty of 'white' space, which, in my understanding, can be of any colour (that's how it's defined at Addicted to Stamps and More and a couple other places). I say enter it into Less is More! In awe...

Thanks so much Carol I know you love butterflies so appreciate your praise so much. LOL! Being on the DT at LIM we are quite strict on white space so daren't stretch the goalposts! I might lead participants astray!!! Hugs Sarah x

DeleteYou have me blushing, Sarah! You're the one who works magic with butterflies (and everything else you touch, too). Your background is so pretty; wish I could get the hand of water-colouring and sponging, minus the blobs, blots and boo-boos! I'll keep working on it!
DeleteHugs to you! ~c
You've done it again! Just too fabulous! And although it pains me to say it, (being a purple & pink fan), my heart has been completely captivated by your second card.
ReplyDeleteYou've done it again Sarah and left me swooning over your makes! The bright and bold first one is a yummy make and cannot tell you how gorgeous I think the second card is - love everything about it.x
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards Sarah....I adore the first one, such fantastic vibrancy and clever highlights with the gel pen.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are gorgeous!! I love the colors and your design on the first one, and that inky background is amazing on the second!
ReplyDeleteThese cards are absolutely stunning! I love your inky madness.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are AWESOME!!
ReplyDeleteStunning!! Love both of these. The colours used in the first card are so pretty and stamped so perfectly. And your background for the second card is divine! The colours blended together are perfection and have never thought to emboss over something like that. Gorgeousness!
ReplyDeleteWhoa. That purple really grabs your attention. I love it! I'm also in love with the inky card. Two beauties, Sarah.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! I love this pretty technique!
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Sarah (and the one made for LIM too!) The first card is very striking but I'm a sucker for softer colours so do prefer the second one. These butterfly stamp sets are both gorgeous. Stef x
ReplyDeleteWOW! These are just so beautiful! Love your butterfly pattern and the layout on the first one. LOVE the distress inked bkgd on the second!
ReplyDeleteFantastic butterflies cards the stamped background is very nice and I adore the watercolored background too. Well done Sarah, Rebecca x
ReplyDeleteStunning card Sarah, it is so pretty and I absolutely love your choice of colors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! Love your color scheme on the 1st card and your pretty background for the white butterfly on the 2nd!
ReplyDeleteWOW! You really are creating show stopping cards :) It's so hard to choose a fave here. Love the detail and colours of the first and the wonderfully created background of the second. Beautifully done. Hugs Bev x
ReplyDeleteSTUNNING! I love your background, and the first card is just so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteReally effective. I love the mottled effect background
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Both cards are absolutely fabulous. I really like the pinks and lilacs on the first card with the subtle shadows on the butterflies. But it's the second one that makes me sigh with happiness - love the colours and pretty white embossing. xx
