AAA Cards Challenge #42
Morning friends I'm back with a new challenge for
AAA Cards and this week we'd like you to use
Paste and / or a stencil
If you saw my Less is More post yesterday this is a
pure coincidence to me too and the draw-back to being
on more than one team! So whatever you create this week maybe
you could also pop your entry in at the LIM gallery too providing
you adhere to the guidelines for both challenges.
We've also got a super talented guest designer with us for this challenge;
Shona of Twinearound so I do hope you'll pop across to check out her
brilliant designs and leave her some friendly comments
Here's my card using coloured embossing paste with a
stencil from Memory Box called 'Ornate Texture'
Card Recipe:
Memory Box Stencil
Distress Inks: Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey & Abandoned Coral
to colour the embossing paste which also has Hero Arts Clear Sparkle EP on top
I decided to made the panel into a mosaic tile pattern then added some sequins
for extra interest. The Happy word die is from Hero Arts along with the
birthday sentiment which is heat-embossed with Hero Arts white ep.
I'd also like to link this up at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
- my second entry as I do love stencilling and combined with DIs -
well it just works for me and lets the imagination flow!
To be perfectly honest I don't think there's anything in the field of
card making that I don't love - everything is so pretty, sparkling and yummy!
Don't forget to check out the superb creations by the rest of the AAA Cards DT
over on the main blog and thanks as always for stopping by.
Happy crafting and I can't wait to see your ingenious designs.
Bad timing coincidence for me yet again! haha Oh well, you know I don't tidy up regularly so that paste is still on my table, I may just have to open it up again! Love these colours blended with the EP and sparkle, fantabulous card xx
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah. I love that you created a mosaic tile design with your beautifully stenciled and embossed panel. The colors are fantastic and the simple sentiment really pops. Gorgeous work as always.
ReplyDeleteFabulous textured card! Lined up perfectly~
ReplyDeleteLOVE how this turned out, Sarah, the color-blocking effect is wonderful with added texture of the paste! Thanks for joining us this week at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
ReplyDeleteAmazing and love the colours. I am not good at either of these techniques but will admire those that are!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I love how you split the stencil into a mosaic tile panel with different colours - it is really stunning! Jill
ReplyDeleteBeautiful design. I love the tiled effect and the gorgeous colours. xx
ReplyDeleteLove the drama of that textured stencil - great colours too :)
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card Sarah. Love the sunny happy colours, perhaps you could show them to the weather and then maybe it would perk up a bit.
ReplyDeleteLol!
DeleteSo sharp! Professional looking too. It just came out sooooo good! Thanks for sharing that P & S can look fantastic. Love that color combo too. Hugs, Victoria
ReplyDeleteSarah, this card is so spectacular! You certainly know what your doing with stencils and paste. Its such a clean and precise pattern and the colours are gorgeous. Thanks so much for having me as a Guest for this challenge!
ReplyDeleteStunning, jaw dropping beauty and perfection. Love that shimmer :)
ReplyDeleteThat is the best background!!!! Great colors.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with this color combo. Plus that looks like a pretty tricky stencil to use paste on. Such a pretty card :)
