Morning all, it's that time again ... 8am Saturday (BST)!
Being a crazy self-confessed Clearly Besotted addict I was sooooo
tempted to purchase the latest coffee / tea cups from the September release!
Knowing full well I already owned this Warm Wishes set - I behaved!
I was inspired by Yoonsun's card HERE so much that I decided to try out a
rustic-type scene with mugs and obviously 'Warm Wishes'.
The sentiment is from the In The Frame set by CBS and it's heat embossed
in WOW Pale Gold Metallic EP along with the hand-drawn line in versamark!
I heat embossed the cups in white EP before water colouring using distress inks
and to finish - added dots to the cups using a gel pen for more detail!
I'd like to enter this one over at Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday (Use a Stamp)
and Happy Little Stampers CAS Challenge - colouring
My next card uses a few sets from Uniko: Background Builders - Circles
and Big & Bold - Wish, which are inked using Colour Box Chalk inks
Ok that's all from me but there's plenty more inspiration for you over on
the main Less is More blog HERE and I'll be back in an hour with
the latest challenge from Addicted to CAS so hope you'll pop along then.
Thanks so much and have a great week.
So well behaved not to buy that new set. I don't have the warm wishes set so I may just have to add the new one to my wishlist...I blame you! :D I love how you've coloured it, the sepia tone background with the gold strip looks great with the other colours. And your second card is so fab to have as a unisex card, although you don't seem to have a problem creative masculine cards anyway. Fab cards, teamie xx
ReplyDeleteOh, and thank you for sharing over at Happy Little Stampers (not awake yet!) xx
ReplyDeleteStunning, Sarah! Love the colouring on your fab cups and that gold embossed strip looks perfect! I thought of the Uniko wish when I saw the theme but I think it is the one Uniko set that I DONT have :) Have a great weekend x
ReplyDelete2 fab cards Sarah xx Jan
ReplyDeleteThe coffee card works really well with the colours, the white cups and distress inks and the 'warm' diagonal sentiment. Lovely one layer card...maybe this one will stay as the one layer ?x Bold, bright and modern colours and layout work well on the second card.
ReplyDeleteGreat one layer cards Sarah, I am not keen on one layer ones either lol. Still thinking what to make yet ;) Viv xx
ReplyDeleteFab cards as ever Sarah, funny thing... I have been known to re-jig a one layer card as it were too...although sometimes it is handy to have something thin to go through the post if you want to include a letter or a wad of cash!!!!

Meant to add thanks for joining in the HLS challenge too!

ReplyDeleteBoth cards are Super Sarah! The second one is a stunner. Love the colors...
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards Sarah. Love the colour combination with the pretty cups and your fun design with the diagonal panel. Your second card is so bright and fun. Thanks for playing along at Happy Little Stampers. xx
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous, Sarah! love the cool colour combination of the second card! Making one layer card is a real challenge for me, too!
ReplyDeleteLove your cards - the bright colours on the Make a Wish card make it ideal for a birthday!
ReplyDeleteTwo great cards, Sarah! I love the color combination on the second card. That first card really had me looking twice to make "sure" it was just one layer! LOL!
ReplyDeleteAdorable cards! 2 wonderful designs!! Love them!!
