Can you believe we are back at Saturday again?
Last up but slightly less CAS and using the same stencil but in a different way!
Here I've ink blended some of my favourite distress inks onto a piece of water colour
cardstock first, spritzed and flicked with the Perfect Pearl mix before placing
the stencil over the top. Using a sponge dauber with Versamark ink through
the stencil followed by clear embossing powder to create an ultra glossy outline
(see close-up photo below)
The butterfly and sentiment are both from Happy Little Stampers sets;
Butterfly Birthday and Everyday sentiments. Both are heat embossed using
WOW Gold sparkle EP. The butterfly is then coloured using the same
distress inks and coated generously with Glossy Accents. You know I can't
resist some bling so I've added gems and sequins from my stash
This week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday
is to 'Add some Shimmer' so this card is shimmering to the max
with the flickers of water and perfect pearls to the distress inked panel,
followed by sparkly embossing powder and plus shimer and shine
from the glossy accents too.
I hope you enjoy this one and I can't wait to see what clever
techniques and ideas you introduce me to with your stencils this week.
Thanks as always for playing along and I'll be back shortly with my challenge post
for Addicted to CAS plus it's the traditional Design Team Reveal, Release and Blog Hop
over at Uniko following the release of the latest Paradise stamp sets.
Why not head over and you could be in with a chance of a prize!
Incredible! Can't believe that you used the same stencil on all three cards Sarah. The results are truely sensational as each card has a very different feel. The beautiful ranibow panels on the first two are terrific, but that sizzling hot colour combo on the last card captured my heart. Stunning!
ReplyDeleteHave a super week.

ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful, so full of colour and bling, and that gloss on the last one...oooohh! x
Oh my goodness, I literally can't choose a favourite. These are all so gorgeous! What a fantastic pink card base on card 1, and the wonky stitched border looks great. Card 2 is so striking with that beautiful colour surrounded by the white space, and card 3 is a fab technique and one I intend to try asap now I've seen how amazing it looks!
ReplyDeleteThat is one fab stencil Sarah and your have used it so creatively in all three beautiful cards!
