Well Hello there crafty friends!
We're back and normal service will resume over at Less is More
following our mini craft event! We had a blast and it was just so perfect
to meet fellow like-minded crafters in real life; learning new tricks, tips and
techniques throughout the weekend with a load of fun and giggles mixed in.
I do hope Kylie returns to do it all again sometime as it was such a
memorable and spectacular weekend. Make sure you jump at the chance
to join in as you'll certainly not be disappointed!
So the first of the month also means COLOUR WEEK and we've chosen
Blue and Brown
Here's what I've come up with but there's some magical makes by my fellow
teamies so if you'd like to pay them a visit I'm sure they'd be thrilled!
Using mainly Altenew Inks and the mini Daisy stamp set also by Altenew
I've created a 'thinking of you' card - always great to have a few of these made up.
It's almost completely Altenew with a sentiment from the Brushstroke Sentiments
then a stitched border die for added interest to divide the 2 panels from MFT.
The theme over at Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday challenge is
Fabulous Florals so I'm heading over there with this one!
Now I know it shouts 'WRONG' as Sunflowers are Yellow BUT I just
decided to try it in a different colourway and I kind of like it. I've used
a Papertrey Ink die-cut (kindly sent to me by the wonderfully generous
added a few inky splatters to the card base. The sentiment is by Clearly Besotted;
Simple Silhouettes and to finish a few matching sequins from my stash.
I hope you have some fun with this one and thanks as always
for stopping by my blog today!
Love these unconventional colours for your flowers, teamie! The daisy looks fab in blue with the brown leaves, and how lovely of Barb to send you that gorgeous sunflower. I had the brown Brusho panel which was just crying out to be used when I got back...and whoops, the Tim Holtz dies might be new too! lol xx
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous, Sarah! The 'thinking of you' card looks so fab with the curved panel shape and those pretty daisies. I LOVE the unusual colours of the sunflower... it's a brilliant effect and so striking/modern in feel, and a little playful too! Love it!

ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Sarah and the blue goes beautifully with that bronzy brown and the pretty curved shape highlights the flowers and leaves so prettily. The sunflower looks great in those colours too and I love the way you have faded the colour out on the frame. Thank you for your lovely comments too. x
ReplyDeleteThis periwinkle always makes me smile, Sarah - love both your cards! Thanks for sharing them with us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!

Sorry I am so late visiting this week but it has been an absolute nightmare as far as time goes for me.
