I have to admit I'm a bit of hoarder in the craft department and seem
to hang on to any little bit of die-cut scraps and off-cuts so this card
is made up of a lot of scraps that have been cluttering my desk!
The die-cut BG was a surplus piece from a previous card, the
die-cut balloons were from a left-over scrap of distress-inked
watercolour card and an off-cut of cardstock for the sentiment strip!
Items used:
Neat & Tangled: Punchinella die
Sugar Pea Designs: Celebrate word die
Paper Smooches: Big Balloon dies
Distress inks and Doodlebug Sprinkles
It's an 'Anything Goes' week over at Addicted to Stamps and More
so I thought I'd pop this one in over there plus the 'Anything Goes with Dies'
at Happy Little Stampers.
This one uses some yummy Altenew inks to create a flurry of balloons.
The balloon and strings are from the Clearly Besotted set: Let's Party
with sentiments from our sponsor for this month, Happy Little Stampers;
Every Day Sentiments and Fun Birthday Sentiments
It's also an Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday
so I'd like to head over there plus 'Anything Goes with HLS'
Your last card has totally wowed me Sarah! Such gorgeous tones of ink and they really capture the delicate nature of balloons. That is one classy card! I think your first card is brilliant for being made out of scraps - no-one would ever know. Ha! Had to laugh...I have 2 plastic boxes full of offcuts, gelli prints and smooshed papers so I hoard just as much as you. Maybe we should all use those bits and pieces as a starting point for cards , especially if they end up looking as good as yours. Have a wonderful week my friend xx
ReplyDeleteHoarding in your case certainly pays off! Super layering of all those scraps. But, oh my, how I love those Altenew colours and this is just awesome!!! What a completely fabulous design, LOVE THIS! You're on fire xx
ReplyDeleteI love how the elements on your first card work so well together and really pop against the dark card base and your beautiful stamping of those lovely aqua balloons on your second card is just perfection! These are both fab. I hope you have a great week xx
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are fabulous. Love the colours in both. And I think all paper crafters can relate to hoarding and my pile keeps growing. 😂
ReplyDeleteWow...two great cards! I think my favorite is the second card...those colors are just fabulous especially the way they are layered on the card. You've really nailed the challenge this week!
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards and fabulous designs, Sarah. I love all the shimmer and the die cut b/ground on the first one and the stamping on the second.
ReplyDeleteYour card is perfect...great way to use your scraps! Terrific inspiration!
ReplyDeleteLove these card Sarah! I can't believe your first one uses scraps - it's such a fab design and so stylish with the coordinating colours and shapes. Your second card is just perfect with the delicate shades of blue creating the angled corner of balloons and the sentiment across them. Gorgeous! Have a fab weekend x
