Hey Friends,
we're back with week 2 of our Birthday month of challenges at
Less is More
and this week it's the 'dreaded one'
Here's mine and there's loads of fabulous designs from my fellow teamies
over on the main blog HERE with links to their own blogs.
Do check them out and pay them a visit if you've time - they'd love it!
First up and probably the most obvious idea when thinking of
Opposites Attract is in love so here I've used a Clearly Besotted set
called Scientifically Speaking AND although I've had it ages and ages
this is the first time it's had any ink near it. I've also dry embossed a
rectangle into the card front using a die from WPlus9 Sunshine Layers.
Next up it's an opposites idea in the sense of things that shouldn't go
together! Here in the UK we have a saying
"Red & Green should never be seen"
yet come Christmas time we can't seem to get enough of this combo
so I'm getting super organised with my first Christmas card of 2017!
This one uses the Winter Foliage set from Uniko teamed with a
Hero Arts Shape and Cut set; all images inked with Altenew. Both the Altenew and
Hero Arts products were purchased from our super duper
sponsor and guest designer for this week ...
I do hope you'll pop along and pay her a visit both to view her
inspiration on the blog and perhaps pick up a little shopping!
I hope you'll play along, as there's another prize opportunity this week
and have some fun along the way!
Thanks for calling by and I'll be back soon!
Beautiful cards!! I love the simplicity of the first one and your second card has me inspired!! I recently bought the same stamp set and would love to play with it now :)
ReplyDeleteCheers
preety
christmas cards already :-)
ReplyDeletegreat cards sarah
Oooooh, the magnets card <3 I'm getting tempted! The magnets and hearts are so cute! Love your second card too which honestly I might CASE this year because it just works so well. I never think about overlapping stamped sentiments onto the imagery, but I must try soon because it always looks so awesome. Gorgeous! Have a great weekend x
ReplyDeleteLove, Love, Love the magnets card Sarah - your DT sample sold me into wanting that set as soon as I saw it. The red actually makes the magnets look shiny (without glossy accents?). Then your wonderful Christmas card. Super design and the red and green are perfect Christmas colours. Ha! Go you! getting organised for Xmas so early ;-) xx
ReplyDeleteGreat designs, this week, Sarah! Your magnets card is so much more effective than mine....like you, I don't think I have used these images before :) Loving the Christmas card although I would quite like some sunshine before we get back to that! Have a fab week xx
ReplyDeleteLove the magnet card, would make a great valentine. And I envy anyone who gets going on their Christmas cards already, I always "plan" to do this, then. . .
ReplyDeleteSuch a great Valentines card...and your are already working towards Christmas...I'm impressed!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your magnets card Sarah! So cute and perfectly CAS. Magnets was what popped into my mind when I first read the challenge theme. Your Xmas card is so pretty and softly coloured.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are great inspiration for the theme...I love the first one..I think it's clever and so very creative x
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards, hunnie. That's one CBS set I don't have, I think between us we have them all though. LOVING your Christmas card, that cluster of winter foliage looks fantastic, a wonderful purely stamped card xx
ReplyDeletefab fab cards, love the magnet imagery xx
