Uniko - Revisit March 2020

Hi there friends, I hope you are all keeping well and safe during these scary times and sending lots of love and crafty hugs your way (from a distance of course)!

So it's another REVIST month over at Uniko where Bev asks us to 'dig out', dust down and bring a previously released set back into the spotlight!

This month it's an oldie but goodie and has to go down as my all time favourite floral set by Uniko, which is, of course, the Pure Florals - Gerbera set. It's never a chore to play with this one, especially with the co-ordinating dies; it's a dream!

I've gone with 2 shaker card examples, basically because I set myself a stupid task of sorting out my sequins the other day!!!! I'd forgotten how many different types I have!!

As is the tradition there's a blog hop giveaway; the prize being the Pure Florals Gebera set or an alternative prize if you already own this one! You have until midnight (GMT) on Sunday 22 March 2020 to comment along the hop and here's the blogs you need to visit.

Sarah (That's Me!)

You'll find all the details over at Uniko HERE and I'd like to wish you lots of luck on the hop and here's the image of the Gerbera set we've revisited. Hope you enjoyed the inspiration and as always thanks for visiting my blog today.

Less is More #321

Morning friends, are you ready for this week's challenge at

Less is More

This week it's our Recipe week and here's the Cue Card

Not too difficult??? Here's my cards and I seem to be making a lot of 'teal' cards at the moment!
Hee Hee ... I obviously can't move on from the 'mainly teal' challenge so here's another

Recipe: Inks: Altenew
Stamps: Paper Smooches: Botanicals 2 & Winnie & Walter: Big and Bold YOU
Dies: Paper Smooches: Stitched Frame

It's a Clean and Simple week over at Addicted to Stamps and More
so I'd like to pop my card in there

Not so teal this time and going with an Easter theme in non-traditional colours.
This one uses:
Stamps: Mama Elephant - Carnival Cupcakes and CBS Cool Chicks
Promarkers and Filmstrip Frame die by Pretty Pink Posh

Don't forget to check out the fabulous designs from my fellow teamies over on the
 main blog HERE and we also have a guest designer for you this week;
Nonni of Nonni's Handmade Cards who was the winner of Week 1
of our Birthday challenges. I hope you'll pay her a visit too.

Hope you'll play along and have some fun.
Thanks for calling by and I'll be back soon!

Less is More #298

Hi friends are you ready for another challenge over at Less is More?

It's our THEME week and we've chosen
Incy Wincy Spiders or Insects!

Now there's no need to go Halloween on this one but in the absence
of suitable insects and particularly spiders other than in Halloween
sets I decided to go with that occasion. Fortunately my nieces and
nephews are still of an age where they'll accept Halloween Cards!
I think!!! Especially the sort with spiders!

This one uses the stitched filmstrip die by Pretty Pink Posh
and I've re-cut it in the orange, green and purple (typically for Halloween)
to add my spiders web and spiders to each aperture. The card looked
a little bland when I'd finished so I decided to grab a stencil I've just
purchased by Tim Holtz and ink it through with Hickory Smoke Distress ink.
I still wasn't happy to decided to go full on distressing up the edges instead
then adding a few extra webs. The Happy sentiment is by Happy Little Stampers
and the reset of the images are by Clearly Besotted 'Halloween Spirit'

The theme over at CASology this week is 'Spooky' so I'd like to pop this card in there!

This one uses the 'In Print' set by Clearly besotted but couldn't resis
adding googlie eyes to the fingerprint spider! The sentiment is from
the Out of This World set also by Clearly Besotted and I was attempting
to CASE one of Jennifer McGuire's recent techniques shown HERE but
think I've not quite got my spacing right ... more practice needed!

So that's all of mine but please head over to the main blog HERE
where there's links to my fellow teamies blogs and cards.
I'm sure they'd love a visit and they've worked their usual magic on
the theme to inspire you!

Have a fab week and as always thanks for calling by my blog.

Honey I Shrunk The Kit #8

Hey friends, guess what ... it's time for another day out with the honeys
and I'm the lucky host for this one! It was a little daunting thinking
of what to put together having received such wonderful kits
from the others! In the end I went with a

Monster Birthday theme

There's a picture and list of my goody pack at the end of the post
Here's our team and I absolutely adore playing along with this
wonderful bunch of talented ladies!
Hazel Hodgkins: Hazel's Paper Designs
Sarah Gray: Funky Fossil Designs
Shona Chambers: Twine Around
Sandie Munroe: London Days
Sarah Platt: Sazzle Dazzle Crafts ... that's ME!

I had a go at creating a Northern Lights (of a fashion) night sky using Distress Inks
with multiple planets, spaceships and rockets 'whizzing' by, viewed though the
Stitched Framed 'film strip' die. Adding a couple of extra images from
the CBS set to create a BG and a wrap of twine adds a little more interest.

Well I just can't resist going overboard with silliness when you've got these
cute little monsters in tow! I coloured them with promarkers and set them
inside the circle frames which are filled with clear seed bead or bubbles with
a starry background paper from the Doodlebug papers!!!

I just had to use the googlie eyes somewhere and I also had a bit more of the
'Northern Sky' panel left so used it as another background here for my googlie
aliens sat on the 'moon' as a space ship zooms by!

You can probably tell I was running out of ideas here but decided to go
full on vibrant and 'busy' with the design paper and mini images, another
googlie eye and I wanted to showcase the sentiment in particular.

I had a lot of fun making these and I'm going to have even more fun
as I zip around the other honeys' blogs to see how they played with my kit!

So here's a little piccy of what I sent around the world which included:

Clearly Besotted Stamps & Dies: Out of This World, Eye on You, Blast Off
Lawn Fawn Stamps & Dies: Monster Mash
Pretty Pink Posh Peek-a-boo & Stitched Frame dies
Doodlebug:Sprinkles, Bakers Twine & Design Paper
Misc. Googlie eyes

As always thanks for calling by and hope you enjoyed
a giggle looking at these crazy creations!

Less is More #290

Morning friends, time to announce this week's challenge over at

Less is More
It's theme week and we've chosen the word Exotic

This one uses a Paper Smooches set called Get Outta Town.
The images are coloured with Promarkers and I've used a
frame die from Pretty Pink Posh then 're-sat' the 'piccys' inside
again once coloured and popped it up on fun foam for added dimension.

I'd like to pop this one in at Addicted to Stamps and More where
it's the 'Make Your Mark' Week

Our Current Challenge

I couldn't resist creating a creating a card using this fantastic
'Paradise' set from Uniko and if Paradise isn't exotic then I'm stuck!
(Looks like Sarah G and Sharon also had the same idea!)

I decided to show-case the sentiment and keep that panel clean and simple
with the exotic hibiscus blooms in the background.

My teamies have been up to their usual brilliance so please head over
to the Less is More blog HERE where there's links to their blogs
and you can swoon with delight at their creations.

Hope you feel inspired to play along and I'll catch up with you soon.

AAA Cards Challenge #70

Hi there friends it's time for a new challenge at
AAA Cards
and for this fortnight we'd like to see you use some STITCHING on
your creations. There's no need to drag the sewing machine out
from the back of a cupboard unless you want to as there's lots of
stitched dies out there or even needle and thread 'by hand'
Here's mine using a 'homespun' die from My Favourite Things,
a layered lily flower head from Altenew with a sentiment from
Clearly Besotted Brushed Greetings II. To finish a few sparkly
sequins from Neat and Tangled plus Pretty Pink Posh.

Here's a little photo inspiration and there's some superb ideas
from my fellow teamies over on the main blog HERE PLUS we have
2 very special and talented Guest Designers joining us for this one.

First up and owner of our generous Sponsor, Uniko it's Bev and Eunji of
Follow Your Dreams and winner of our recent watercolour challenge.
I do hope you'll pop along to their individual blogs and leave them some love.

As already mentioned our sponsor for this one is Uniko
Uniko

with our lucky winner receiving a £10 gift certificate to spend in store.

Thanks as always for stopping by and I'll be back soon.

Less is More #273

Hello there friends; another week has whipped by in a flash so it's
back to Saturday morning and a new challenge from Less is More!

It's recipe week and a bit of a tough one ... in honour of
St Georges Day - we'd like to see Saints, Dragons or Heros

Here's mine and I've very little in my stash that ties in with the theme
so it's 2 cards using the same 'dragon' from Mama Elephant: Just Hatched.

Certainly not the scariest dragon you'd ever imagine but in an effort
to make him a little more 'realistic' I've created a watercoloured surround of
'fire' - that's what it's supposed to be anyway! I've used a new die from
Pretty Pink Posh: Peek-a-boo and a sentiment from Clearly Besotted: Eye on You.
I'm not sure if the googlie eyes I've added make this little fella more geeky or
terrifying but they were on my desk and I couldn't resist a bit of fun!

Same Mama Elephant set here with a 'Hello' sentiment from the set too plus the
'You're my hero' from Clearly Besotted. The dragons are coloured using my
Zig Clear Brush pens and I've added a stitched frame die from Paper smooches.

Ok it's over to you talented folk and I'm intrigued to see what you'll come up with!
No doubt we'll be blown away by your creations as always! Don't forget there's some
magical inspiration from my fellow teamies so I hope you'll pop across to their
individual blogs to leave some friendly love and encouragement.

Thanks as always for calling by and I'll be back tomorrow with the
latest challenge details for AAA Cards.
