ANIMAL MAD

Hello All
I'm dashing in with a very quick post having had another day of sorting,
clearing, re-cycling, rubbish tipping and not a lot of crafting.
Seems to be a never-ending cycle at the moment but it's a job
that's been neglected for too long.

So another card using the Paper Smooches Chubby Chums set,
which was a birthday gift from my kids and I'm loving it.
It's another celebratory card in readiness for later in the week.
Going to be busy making more this week I think.

The back ground is stamped using some of the mini stamps from Paper Smooches Metropolis
then die-cut using a pierced rectangle from MFT Die-namics.
Not sure if you can see in the photo but I've glossy-accented the cat's eyes,
stripes and the background circles.

I'm entering this in the Seize the Sketch (whoops ... just realised I've missed this one!) :-(
and Make the Day Special Stamp Store colour challenges.

Thanks for stopping by and see you all soon.

A PASSION FOR PURPLE

Hi All

Not sure if I'll get to post anything until the weekend ... just depends whether I can get near my craft desk with the work going on so decided I'd better have a play today.

My card uses the sketch from the latest Seize the Sketch Challenge and colours from this week's ColourQ.

I was trying to use the photo inspiration from ColourQ too so inked up various floral stamps and foilage.

Card Recipe:

Stamps: Uniko - Background Builders Vines & Clearly Besotted - Bridal Bouquet
Sentiment: Clearly Besotted - Design a Tree
MFT Chevron Stencil - inked with distress inks
MFT Die-Namics - Pierced Rectangle Stax
Sequins: Doodlebug plus a drizzle of Wink of Stella to the leaves.

Right off to catch up with another episode of BGT and hopefully I'll manage to skip the adverts otherwise it goes on forever! Catch up with you soon and thanks for calling in.

WHOOPS ANOTHER FORGOTTEN CHALLENGE

Not sure why this little one slipped through the net and didn't get posted the other day ... holiday brain!!!

Sadly it's back to work tomorrow :-( but hopefully I'll get some crafting in at the weekend.

So here's a card to enter the Seize the Sketch Challenge and I made it at the weekend along with my LIM card. It's another turtle digi stamp from Pink Petticoat and being short on little boy or big boy cards I did this extra one ... although not suitable for the CAS requirements over at Less is More.

Card Recipe:

Image: Pink Petticoat
Papers: Pink Petticoat and Studio Calico
Sentiment: Clearly Besotted - In the Frame set
Tools: Clearly Besotted - Landscape Die, Sizzix Framelits Tag & Star dies & Promarkers

Back in a minute with a couple of quick makes from today.

BUTTERFLY MAD DAY!

Hi All

Wet and horrid day here so I've escaped to my crafty palace ... well cupboard; with a couple of cards to share that I made yesterday but didn't get to photograph until today. Apologies but the light is poor!

First up is a combined challenge make for Freshly Made Sketches, Color Throwdown and The Card Concept #7, where the theme is butterfly. I'd say I've used a clean and layered style on this occasion. You may not notice I've gone 'slightly' overboard on butterflies with these two but it did mean I got another little play with the Elegant Butterfly stamp set from Clearly Besotted that my kiddies treated me to for Mother's Day.

This used:

Stamps: Clearly Besotted - Elegant Butterflies & Fabulous Fuchsias
Uniko Studio - Flower Power 1
Papers: Doodlebug from Crafty Mojo plus Papermania
Pearls from my stash and a dusting with a Wink of Stella

Next up is to join in at Seize the Sketch and CAS Colours & Sketches.

This time I've used a Lili of the Valley pre-coloured image, papers from Pink Petticoat, sentiment from Uniko Studio - Flower Power and a butterfly die from Clearly besotted along with another dusting with a Wink of Stella and some gems from my stash.

Amazingly I've a couple more cards - obviously busy yesterday so I'll be back in a while.

GENTLE SPRINGTIME

Hello

I've a card to show you that I made this afternoon in a little bonus crafty time I wasn't expecting.

Having spotted the new colour / spring themed challenge over at Uniko Studio I couldn't wait to dive in with those cool and calm colours. Since my first dabble with the sponge daubers here I'm hooked so here's what I've come up with using the sketch from Seize the Sketch

I adore the flower power ranges from Uniko which is what I've used plus some foliage from Natures Treasures. Please, please, please Beverley will you bring out some matching dies for this fabulous range as my fussy cutting is pretty naff?!?!?!?

To begin with I stamped the outline image multiple times onto white card stock using versamark ink then heat embossed with clear embossing powder, armed with my daubers I've used a few shades of blue for the flowers and some green for the back ground followed with stamped foliage. I then cut some of the flower heads from a separate piece of card stock to raise on 3d foam.

Card Recipe:

Image & Sentiment: Uniko Studio - Flower Power & Natures Treasures
Papers: Doodlebug & Papermania
Tools: Scalloped border die - Clearly Besotted and Leaf die - Marianne Creatables.
Pearls from my stash

Ok off to catch up on some TV so thanks for popping by.

THURSDAY MADNESS

I'm really just dashing in with a couple of ultra quick posts as time is short ...

At the moment I seem to be snowed under with commission cards - not that I'm complaining but they all seem to come at once and not often ideal for challenges :-(

Anyway I've a couple to show that might just sneak in;

First up is for a rugby mad teenager hitting a 'special' birthday. Having raided my stock I couldn't find anything rugby related. After a bit of web-surfing I came across this image on the internet that's quite fun. I'm entering my card into the Seize the Sketch challenge. It's a great sketch this week and I've been looking at it for the last week or so wondering whether I'd ever get around to using it...

Card Recipe:

Papers: Pink Petticoat & Echo Park
Sentiment: Computer generated
Tools: MFT Die-namics - fishtail flags, chevrons & high rise numbers
Sizzix Framelits - stars and circles
From my stash: silver twine, glitter card and button plus I've added glossy accents to highlight some of my rugby player.

Next up is to head over to Simon Says Stamp where the theme is Mother's Day or Special Girl card and this is a Mother's Day card for my MIL. During the week I placed a little order at Craft Mojo and this beautiful butterfly die from Joy Crafts just jumped into my basket so couldn't wait to have a play with it when it arrived earlier.

Card Recipe

Image: I've stamped dandelion heads from the Clearly Besotted Dandelion Dreams set onto vellum then heat embossed with white embossing powder. the flower heads are then drizzled with glossy accents, mini beads and glamour dust.
Sentiment: Clearly Besotted - Fabulous Fushia stamp set
From my stash: Pink leafy paper, bakers twine and pearls

FLORALS AND FLOURISHES

Well I started the half term week really well with lots of crafting and posting, sadly the end of the week hasn't been as successful in the craft department. We have, however, had some stunning new wardrobes fitted in my daughters room which I've been oohing and ahhing over (plus the obvious cleaning and arranging of clothes and other girly bits and bobs).

So I have 2 cards to share today, both for challenges. First up is to enter the Color Throwdown and Seize the Sketch challenges

I've used a gingham backing paper from Pink Petticoat, a swirly embossing folder for my navy circle, the cream CS is stamped using the With a Flourish stamp set from Clearly Besotted along with a stamped butterfly from the Butterfly Wishes Additions. Stephanie (CBS) has also just released some stand-alone 'every-day' dies and this is one of the scalloped ones. Finally the sentiment is from Uniko Studio and I've added some gems from my stash for a bit of sparkle.

Next up is another joint challenge card for this week's Freshly Made Sketches and Card Concept challenges, where the theme is 'Florals'. This time I've used design papers from Studio Calico and My Mind's Eye, my adorable Memory Box Tilda Floral die, which is fast becoming my favourite, same sentiment from Uniko Studio then some enamel dots, button and twine from my stash.

I'm also going to enter this card over at Pixie's Crafty Snippets challenge once the gates open. The lovely Di has an extra prize on offer which is running for 2 weeks providing you enter 3 cards in the 2 weeks so check it out here if you fancy playing along.

Whoops forgot to add what style for The Card Concept - I'd say Classy and Elegant (hope that's right)!

Hope you are all enjoying some crafty time and see you soon.

SNEAKING BY

Hello all

Back at work today so a mega quick post just to show you the card I made for my little Sis who celebrates her birthday next week. Fingers-tightly-crossed life is so hectic for her that she won't have time to check out my blog before her birthday!

It's to enter the Seize the Sketch challenge but I've tipped it upside down so hope it still counts!

Card Recipe:

Image: Pre-coloured LOTV image
Papers: Pebbles - Basics
Sentiments: Clearly Besotted - In the Frame stamp & die set
Tools: MFT Die-Namics banner, Stampin Up candy dots

WARNING ... SHADES REQUIRED!

Happy Monday

I've been working today and a busy evening ahead too so very swiftly posting these 2 creations which I started yesterday and have just finished off.

First up is a combo challenge for me to Sketch Saturday and CAS-ual Fridays where the theme is 'Colour Block' hence the need for shades!

Items used:
Geometric Style I Stamp set from Clearly Besotted
Sentiment also from this set plus Honeycomb
Candy Dots are from Stampin' Up
Papers are from The Papermill Shop
X-Cut Corner Punch

Next up is, fingers crossed, just in the nick of time to enter the Color Throwdown and Seize the Sketch Challenges. (Whoops ... having nipped over to Seize the Sketch I've missed the boat! Oh well I love the sketch so glad I could make use of it!)

It's also a commission for a man who is music mad and plays the accordion but in the absence of anything accordion-like in my stash I've used a music script die from Dies to Die for and some wooden notes from my stash

Other Items used:
In the Frame Stamp & Die set from Clearly Besotted
Stars from Memory Box
Mosaic Embossing Folder from Cuttlebug
X-Cut Corner Punch

Sorry short and sweet. Hope you're having a good day and catch you again soon.

IT'S A LILI OF THE VALLEY FAMILY CHRISTMAS

I'm just dashing in again with a very quick multi post to enter a few more challenges. Then I'm going to certainly be hanging up my scissors and card before my cheeky niece lands here!

All my Christmas stash was safely away for next year when I realised I'd not made cards for Mr Dazzle and the mini dazzles! How could I forget them!

Anyway it's pre-coloured Lili Of the Valley Art pads all round; unbelievably I bought these as soon as they were released in the Summer and forgot all about them, so here goes:

First up for our Daughter and this one is to enter the Sketch Saturday Challenge where it's a pick your own sketch from the fabulous catalogue of sketches. I've used 237. My card is heading over to Pixies Snippet Playground too as I think I'll be missing out next week.

The papers are from Pink Petticoat and I've used sparkly glitter paper, gems and twine from my stash plus a good old dousing of glamour dust ... I mean it is Christmas so added sparkle is essential!

Next up for our Son, this time to enter the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge and I've added Fluffy Stuff covered with glamour dust. I was hoping my 'banner' type elements would look like skis covered in snow but not sure it's worked. Hopefully he'll like it with our little dog running along beside him.

AND last but not least for Mr Dazzle ... this reminds me of our Christmas decorating session at the weekend so the image seemed quite appropriate. Seize the Sketch Challenge is where this one is heading and I've used die-cut sparkly hearts for my 'bunting' rather than flags.

So enjoy the rest of your evening. Hopefully I'll get a minute to check out your blogs in the next few days but if not please accept my apologies in advance - nieces are such hard work!!!
