Uniko Challenge #50 - Reminder

Hi there friends.

We're half way through this last challenge of 2018 over at Uniko and I'm here with a little reminder.

The theme is CELEBRATE, with the optional twist to add some gold. I've made a couple of cards - although only the first one includes the celebrate requirement but I ended up on a roll of stencilling and die-cutting snowflakes so thought I'd share them with you.

For all of these cards I used the Wonky Stripes Stencil with Gold Delicata ink then added multiple die-cut snowflakes cut from various gold and glitter cardstocks. The big snowflake on this one is 4 layers adhered together. The 'Celebrate' sentiment is from the Birthday Sentiments set and 'the magic of Christmas' from Most Wonderful.

The following ones use sentiments from Stunning Snowflakes and Simply Said Christmas.

As always there's plenty of fantastic creations by my fellow teamies, so why not head over to the Uniko blog HERE to check out the links and pay them a visit! I'm sure they'd appreciate it!

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Mugda of Craftomania, do pop along and visit her blog and leave a friendly word if you have a minute.

You have until Midnight on Friday, 21st December to link up to the challenge and all the details you need about prizes and how to play can be found over at Uniko HERE

As always thanks for calling by my blog today and I hope you feel inspired to play along with us!

Less is More #385

Hello my crafty friends, it's time to announce our latest challenge at Less is More - it's actually the last challenge of 2018 as we're taking a break through December. On a personal note I'm feeling quite emotional about this one as I'll be stepping down from the Design Team after this challenge. Sadly lack of time in recent months has meant that I haven't been able to fully commit to the challenge blog hence my decision.

I've definitely had an absolute blast though and enjoyed every minute on this Design Team. I've also made some awesome friends here and hope they'll remain life-long buddies. Thanks to all of my fellow teamies at Less is More for being fun and fabulous and I wish you every success and hope Less is More goes from strength to strength - see you in Blogland!

So back to the challenge; and here's the cue card to get you started

You'll find all the details on the main challenge blog HERE as well as links to the fantastic inspiration from the rest of the Design Team  as well as Katrina of Katrina's Crafting Blog, winner of our September challenges who is Guest Designing for this one.

I'm sure you'll love this challenge despite it being that dreaded ONE LAYER week! The theme is holiday, so simple and adaptable for creating lots of occasions as well as a few extra Christmas cards, as I've done!

Both cards use images from Uniko with the first one using the recently released Background Builders: Christmas 2018 as well as some older sentiments. The fairy lights are coloured with Promarkers and sparkled with a Tonic Shimmer Pen and Glossy Accents.

This one uses some older images; Rustic Christmas, Background Blocks - Horizontal Stripes and Simply Said Christmas. I've also added some delicate crystal gems to the tree for added sparkle and interest.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Happy Little Stampers so do play along for a chance of a prize, which we'll announce at the start of next month.

I hope you'll feel inspired to play along with us and have a little crafty fun. Thanks for calling by my blog today and I'd like to thank all the many supporters of the Less is More Challenge - we couldn't do it without you and I hope you'll continue to enjoy the challenges ahead.

12 Days of Christmas with Kylie

Hello Friends

I'm delighted to be joining in on the last day of the lovely Kylie's 12 Days of Christmas with Kylie and Friends again this year. I'm a bit out of practice with crafting and blogging in recent months due to lack of time and mojo but Kylie's email definitely spurred me on into action (of sorts) and I hope you'll join in too.

I've created this card using the 'Merry Kissmas' set by Happy Little stampers

I basically stamped the images then coloured the little details with Promarkers before adding a sentiment from the set on a die-cut circle before popping it up on fun foam. I've matted the panel with some coordinating Glitter Card and that's it. Quick and Simple!

I hope you'll play along with Kylie and friends! All the details you need are on her blog HERE as well as the linky and details of the prizes that are up for grabs.

As always thanks for calling by and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas

Less is More #384

Hello my crafty friends,

Firstly apologies for my absence at Less is More but sadly life has become extremely busy in the last 6 months and due to lack of time and mojo I've been struggling to take part in DT work and challenges of any sort, hence my recent break from the Design Team.

Unfortunately, despite the break I've still found it difficult to get back into crafting and I have made the tough decision to step down from the Less is More Design Team following this month's challenges.

I'm thrilled that fellow teamie Sharon has agreed to take on the task of running the challenge and I will be forever grateful to her and the rest of the team, of course, for continuing with Less is More. I'd also like to thank everyone who has supported and entered the challenge. I have enjoyed every week of the 4 years on the team and made lots of wonderful crafty friends in that time.

So let's get down to the serious business of announcing this week's challenge which is a COLOUR one and here's the cue card to get you started

I've 2 cards to share with you and for this one I used a sentiment from Happy Little Stampers from a retired Christmas sentiments set and I found this die-cut nativity scene in my stash, conveniently die-cut using silver mirror card which I decided would work perfectly for this colour challenge.

Secondly, a string of silver snowflakes using a die from the Works with a 'Merry Christmas' sentiment die from CAS-ual Fridays against an ink blended background.

All the details are on the main challenge blog HERE along with links to my fellow teamies and their fantastic designs to inspire you and as mentioned above, our sponsor for this month is Happy Little Stampers.

I hope you'll feel inspired to play along with and have some crafty fun along the way.

Thanks for calling by today and catch up soon.
