Uniko - Reveal, Release & Giveaway October 2019

Hi crafty friends and I'm thrilled you've stopped by my blog today as it's the BIG Reveal, Release and GIVEAWAY of this month's new products from Uniko

You've no doubt noticed Bev has been showcasing these new goodies for the last few weeks since they were on sale at the Happy Stampers Festival in Port Sunlight at the beginning of the month. Today my fellow teamies and I are posting our creations, whilst inviting you to join the traditional release day blog hop, at the same time.

So First up I couldn't resist testing this gorgeous new Winter Foliage stencil with some beautiful WOW sparkling embossing powder, which I bought at Port Sunlight, over texture paste. The stencil coordinates beautifully with many of the previously released sets, but here I've teamed it with one of the new Festive Sentiments Outlined.

Next up I've teamed up the new Background Blocks Scandinavian Christmas with Festive Sentiments Outlined. The sentiments were stamped in Versamark Ink then embossed with clear embossing powder to create a tone on tone look

Another one using these same sets in a different way; firstly inking up a panel with 3 distress oxide inks in tones of pink and red before heat embossing the background block with Versafine ink and clear embossing powder. To add some extra detail I've used tinsel white embossing powder as glitter to highlight some of the images and sentiment.

Next up a trio using the new large stamp set, called Season of Beauty. It's a modern twist on a poinsettia style bloom which can be used in non-traditional colourways as I've shown here. There's also some gorgeous foliage in the set and festive sentiments too.

This next one is a very simple effect using white embossing to one of the foliage images then adding some sparkly glitter to the edges and sentiment. IRL it pops dramatically on the dark grey card stock.

Finally using the new coordinating designer dies for Winter Foliage to match the ever popular stamp set and I'm delighted that we now have dies to cut those fiddly holly leaves, berries and sprigs of garland. I've added a glittery gold embossed sentiment from the Season of Beauty set to finish this festive card.

Finally here's the long awaited BIG & BOLD Snow die, with shadow die, to match the previously released stamp set. Using one of my all time favourite Uniko sets for Christmas; Stunning Snowflakes, I've stamped a background for my card using Altenew Inks before adding the die-cut embossed 'snow' sentiment.

Sadly I ran out of time and have yet to create a card with the new Stunning Snowflake die but I have a sparkly die-cut waiting to go when I get a moment!

I hope you've enjoyed viewing my examples and please pop along to visit my fellow Design Team members - you won't be disappointed and may I wish you luck on the HOP!

All the details are over on the Uniko blog HERE so if you get lost along the way just head back there.

Thanks for stopping by and here's the FULL images of the new goodies we've been showcasing!

Hi there, I'm here with a little reminder about our current challenge over at Uniko

The theme is Anything Goes with an optional twist to add some autumnal feature into your design and here's the cue card which we'd love to see in your post too.

I decided to use the recently released Tropical leaf Background Block with a twist ... using autumnal tones, created using Distress Oxides first to form the backdrop in Twisted Citron, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon then Candied Apple. The background was then stamped using the WOW metallic brass embossing powder.

As always there's more fantastic creations by my fellow teamies, so why not head over to the Uniko blog HERE to check out the links and pay them a visit! I'm sure they'd appreciate it!

Uniko - Introducing WILD & Animal Print Stencils

Hey there! It's Day 4 of our introductions to the new release goodies from Uniko, before the BIG REVEAL, RELEASE and GIVEAWAY tomorrow!

Today we're introducing a brand new sentiment set called WILD! It coordinates, as you can imagine, perfectly with our 3 new Animal print stencils and here's my examples with 2 of the stencils as I ran out of time!

First up 2 completely un-naturally coloured animals that you definitely won't see in the WILD but it's WILD in a different sense which is why I teamed these cards with the bold sentiment. The top one uses my favourite rainbow colours of Distress Oxides through the stencil. Below I've inked the background first in blue tones of Distress Oxides before blending black ink through the stencil itself.

Last up I've given the 'giraffe' stencil a try using a green tone on tone effect as the background for my mini toucan banner. Accessorised with some Paradise leaves and sentiment from the Paradise set too.

So that's it - introductions DONE! You just need to pop back tomorrow for the BIG reveal of the goodies and some more creations. As ever, the schedule, can be found over on the Uniko blog HERE as well as links and peeks at how my fellow teamies have worked their magic AND the all important prize giveaway information!

As well as the regular Design Team we're also joined by the delightful and super talented Keren Baker so why not pop along and visit her blog - you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll be back for more introductions tomorrow.

Uniko - Introducing BG Blocks Nautical Stripes & Fleur De Lis / Anchors Stencils

Hey! I'm back with Day 3 of our introductions to the new release goodies from Uniko, available from Friday, 26th July.

Today we're introducing another Background Block to add to the expanding range; this time Nautical Stripes. There's 2 fantastic coordinating stencils too; Fleur de Lis and Anchors - all of which team well with the previously released Nautical Treasures, which makes a 'come-back' this month too.

for this one I started out by inky blending distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire to create a gradual blend. Next up I used the anchor stencil and blended in the 3 darker colours. A sprinkling of water with perfect pearls finished the background before adding a popped up sailing boat with the sails stamped using the new background! A couple of flag banner sentiments finishes this nautical themed card.

Who says sailing boats have to be masculine! Here's a different look with the new Background block this time with the sailing boat coloured with Promarkers and stencilled sails using the Fleur de lis stencil. This simple sentiment is by Clearly Besotted - Bev I think we need some travel themed sentiments!!!

As ever, the release schedule, can be found over on the Uniko blog HERE as well as links and peeks at how my fellow teamies have worked their magic! As well as the regular Design Team we're also joined by the delightful and super talented Keren Baker so why not pop along and visit her blog - you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll be back for more introductions tomorrow.
