The sweet and super talented Laura Sterckx of Making Cards is Fun was having a
little craft stash clear out recently and I was lucky enough to 'bag' this
Mama Elephant: Up, Up and Away set, which I've used here. The images are
heat-embossed using WOW metallic silver sparkle to create a 'glittery' effect.
The 'celebrate' sentiment is from Uniko: All Occasion Sentiments #6 and embossed
in the same powder. The images are watercoloured using Distress Inks
before smothering with Wink of Stella - for more glitter!
The 'You Party Animal' sentiment is from Avery Elle and to finish I've added
more glitter by framing the panel on a base of glittered cardstock.
It's party time over at Simon Says Stamp - Wednesday Challenge
this week so I'd like to pop this card in there and here's a little
photo inspiration for you just in case you are in any doubt as to
what's required on this one!!!
I do hope you'll pop across to the main AAA Cards blog
to check out what wonderful designs have been created by my
talented teamies and thanks as always for stopping by my blog.
Super cute card! I'm joining your experience about cleaning up after using glitter. :-))
ReplyDeleteSo sweet....love your adorable monkey and all those fabulous balloons.
ReplyDeleteSo adorable! Finally nice to see his cute little tail being used! Hehe!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute little monkey Sarah. And are you saying you don't like being covered in glitter for the rest of the day - so easy to spot crafters!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors and design, Sarah! Thanks for joining us at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun little monkey! I love all of the sparkle and the angled panel. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so adorable Sarah. I and everything around me was covered in glitter for one little word. You were very, very smart with this wonderfully glittery creation. Love the panel of glitter paper framing your sweet image and sentiment!
ReplyDeleteADORABLE card Sarah! :)
ReplyDeleteHow could Laura get rid of this set !! It's the greatest - and that bunch of balloons I have used on so many cards!! I love the way you've done this with silver embossing powder - it makes it look completely different and works really well. The red glitter edge is a perfect touch.
