Hello there friends; another week has whipped by in a flash so it's
back to Saturday morning and a new challenge from Less is More!
It's recipe week and a bit of a tough one ... in honour of
St Georges Day - we'd like to see Saints, Dragons or Heros
Here's mine and I've very little in my stash that ties in with the theme
so it's 2 cards using the same 'dragon' from Mama Elephant: Just Hatched.
Certainly not the scariest dragon you'd ever imagine but in an effort
to make him a little more 'realistic' I've created a watercoloured surround of
'fire' - that's what it's supposed to be anyway! I've used a new die from
Pretty Pink Posh: Peek-a-boo and a sentiment from Clearly Besotted: Eye on You.
I'm not sure if the googlie eyes I've added make this little fella more geeky or
terrifying but they were on my desk and I couldn't resist a bit of fun!
Same Mama Elephant set here with a 'Hello' sentiment from the set too plus the
'You're my hero' from Clearly Besotted. The dragons are coloured using my
Zig Clear Brush pens and I've added a stitched frame die from Paper smooches.
Ok it's over to you talented folk and I'm intrigued to see what you'll come up with!
No doubt we'll be blown away by your creations as always! Don't forget there's some
magical inspiration from my fellow teamies so I hope you'll pop across to their
individual blogs to leave some friendly love and encouragement.
Thanks as always for calling by and I'll be back tomorrow with the
latest challenge details for AAA Cards.
Blimey that's a tough one!! You have done incredibly well with yr little cutie. Love the first with the Watercolour & hos "breaking out". Fab xx
ReplyDeleteWell, you've worked your magic with that one die Sarah! I had to look twice because I thought you had used two. Your flames look tsssssst...hot! ;-) I love how the baby dragon goes over and underneath your stitched frame. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend.

Such cute cards! LOVE the first one with the hole! Thanks for the good inspiration! Åsa xx
ReplyDeleteThis little guy makes me smile. Terrific inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThis is a super cute dragon and I love the creative way you have used that aperture to highlight him with flames! He looks great in purple and green with that cool frame die too. Hope your weekend is fab :)
ReplyDeleteWell done on creating two great cards with this little guy. The first looks fab, the peekaboo die is great with the flames, not seen that one before. And you multi-stamping on your second is great, he's so cute! xx
ReplyDeleteI love that little dragon-ette and what you've done with him, Sarah! I think he's hiding in my craft closet, too!
ReplyDelete=]
Adorable little dragon! I love the 'explosion' of flames in the first card - super creative and really eye catching - and the cute way the dragons peep out from under and over the frame in the second card. Fantastic!
ReplyDeleteSuch cutie dragons...love the first one bursting out of the flames. Great cards as usual Sarah
ReplyDeleteAww!! Sarah, this little Dragon is neither geeky nor terrifying, it's ADORABLE!!! I'm seriously loving his fiery birth, the die is so realistic looking and a perfect size for this little guy, just so sweet.
ReplyDeleteYour second card is just as beautiful, who can be scared with this cuties.
Thank you for sharing.
Hugs,
Maria.
