Less is More #296

Morning friends I'm here with my Less is More post today as we start a
new month, new challenge and new sponsor or should I say returning sponsor!
The super generous Dies To Die For are back to sponsor our challenges
this month so be sure to enter each week to be in with a shout of a prize!
I'm relying on Mr Blogger again today as I'm heading down to the Happy Stampers
Festival at Port Sunlight so if you're lucky enough to be attending then please
pop along to the Uniko stand as I'll be helping Bev there!
So before I forget it's Colour Week and we've chosen
Lilac and Turquoise as our colour combo for this week!
It's also RELEASE day at Uniko so I've another post (all being well)
going live in an hour featuring the new sets! Hope you'll pop back then!
BUT ... for your eyes only I've got an early sneaky peep at the small
Christmas Sparkle set

I've stamped the images using Colorbox pigment inks then embossed with Hero Arts
Sparkle Clear EP. The sentiment is embossed in silver to tone with the glittery strip
down the left hand side and a couple of matching sprinkles by Doodlebug to finish.

Stamps: Altenew Beautiful Day
I have wanted this set for ages, well since it was released and kept
putting it off and putting it off until so many super talented crafters
kept showing off with it that I could resist it no longer.
All the stamped images including the sentiment are from the set
and I've used Altenew Inks to stamp the florals too.

I'd like to pop this one in at the Simon Says Stamp -
Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes

Simon Wednesday Challenge Blog

Don't forget to head over to the Less is More blog HERE
where my fellow teamies have worked their little socks off
again and created some awesome cards!

  1. Hope you enjoyed your day at Port Sunlight....and that it didn't break the bank! Loving those sparkle baubles Sarah because they look so pretty and your glittery strip was an inspired addition. But WOW! What tremendous blooms on your second card. They look stunning with the uncoloured leaves framing them. Have a fabulous week.

  2. Oh my goodness, these are FABULOUS! Those ornaments looks amazing, so elegant and pretty. I love the strip of glittered paper which is such an eye catching touch. Your Beautiful Day card is stunning with the coloured blooms set against the crisp black inked leaves. Just perfect! Hope you have a super day at HFS! x

  3. These are both stunning makes, Sarah! I love the flowers from Beautiful Day and your card is simply gorgeous and it is great to see the new Uniko Christmas ornaments in the turquoise and lilac colour combo. I hope all goes well today at Port Sunlight and that you and Bev have a busy day x

  4. Love the colour theme and you have demonstrated it brilliantly. The first is a great Christmas card but it is the second that has my mouth watering it is so perfectly coloured, simply adore it. XOXO

  5. lovely cards using the challenge colours

  6. Both of these cards are just beautiful. Your use of color in these two very different cards is just perfect!

  7. Two beautiful cards Sarah - I especially like the flowers from A Beautiful Day - and I can understand your giving in to buy it - it is really special! Love how you feature the two coloured flowers by leaving the background foliage uncoloured. A great technique!

  8. I love how you used the same color palette and created two gorgeous cards! Thanks so much for playing Simon Says Stamp Wednesday “Anything Goes” Challenge! Beautiful colors and design. Well done!

  9. Two very delicate and awesome cards Sarah ! No doubt, this color combo is a total success ! I especially love the fineness of the card with the peonies ! It is so gorgeous ! Thanks so much for sharing and for inspiring.

  10. These 2 cards are both great inspiration for the challenge! I'm in love with your Altenew card as I love everything "floral", but they're both equally gorgeous!

  11. I can feel the stamp envy happening in reverse now. Now I'm envious of your Beautiful Day set and I can't get hold of it! I lOVE this design with the leaves left uncoloured, it's stunning. And your silver touches look great with these colours on your first card too. Off to add the 'back in stock' notification to this one too now! xx
