Morning All
It's that time again ... how quickly has this week gone?!?!?
So the Less is More challenge this week is a ONE LAYER card
with a twist 'Adapt a Fingerprint'
Now can I offer a word of advice before you eagerly launch into this challenge ...
If you have an important event to go to this evening or tomorrow
then leave this challenge for a couple of days!
My fingers were literally smothered in ink and it took about 2 days to go completely!
To make matters worse I'd already made my cards last weekend
and feeling pleased with myself at being so organised I sat back with inky fingers!
Yesterday I had the shock of my life ... DT Anne blogged her cards and
ARRRRRGHHHHH! It was a one layer week! Grrrrr!
So I've had to get all inked up again!
I'm not that thrilled with what I've come up with but there's a
couple of pictures at the bottom of my earlier
(non OLC) cards which I'm much happier with.

Ok first up I've masked off an odd looking 'V' panel and set to
with some distress inks.
I decided the easiest option was to put a different colour on three fingers but
it took a lot of concentration to make sure I dipped the right finger in the right ink!!!
The sentiments are Clearly Besotted - In The Frame set
with some distress inks.

and to finish off I've added a couple of enamel dots from Doodlebug.
I've used the colours from this week's ColourQ Challenge so I'll be heading that way.
Next up, I've followed the sketch from this week's CAS(E) This Sketch challenge
and the colour scheme from ColourQ again

I've stamped the outline images using Uniko Studio Flower Power#2
then coloured the petals with my fingerprint using Distress Inks.
The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted and I've added some Doodlebug
sequins then pearls from my stash.
This one is another following the CAS(E) This Sketch layout and
I've tried out the colour scheme from Color Throwdown.
The image is Uniko Studio Background Builders Circles with a fingerprint
in the centre. Finished off with a sentiment from Clearly Besotted,
sprinkles and sequins from Doodlebug
Here's a couple of my NON-OLC ones
Right ... now it's your turn.
It's actually quite good fun getting messy and creative
so looking forward to seeing your creations.
Good luck and thanks for stopping by
Wonderful cards Sarah. Nothing in this weekend so I can get as inky as I want
ReplyDeleteGosh Sarah .. .. you have been super productive with you fingerprints! What a fabby idea. Love all your samples.
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you couldn't get rid of the ink from your fingers .. .. you did so many!!!
I am very cruel to my fingers and am surprised I have any fingerprints left. I scrub mine with one of those green scouring pads and cream cleaner!! Poor little fingers!
Hope you have a lovely weekend.
Love Jules xx
Brilliant cards for case this sketch, Sarah. They're not as easy to do as they look, with the little border, but yours are terrific. Love the colours you've used x
