AAA CAS Cards Challenge #91 - 3rd Birthday Blog Hop

Hello there friends, it's time for another challenge over at AAA CAS Cards and we are having a MASSIVE celebration for the next fortnight as our little challenge is celebrating it's 3rd Birthday! There's loads of giveaways, blog hopping, sponsors, treasure hunts, prizes and lots more so read on for all the details.

First up and being a birthday challenge it's an easy theme ... BIRTHDAYS and here's what I've created for you. I'm featuring stamps by Uniko, as they are one of our sponsors, and I've used BG Builders Round in Circles with sentiments from the Simple Said Birthday Set and All Occasion Sentiments #6. The curved, stitched die is by MFT Die-namics, another of our sponsors for this special birthday challenge.

As always there's plenty more super CAS creations by my fellow teamies, with links to their blogs on the AAA Cards blog HERE and below is our blog hop order so don't forget to visit each blog and leave a comment in order to be eligible for a prize.

We're also delighted to be joined by 4 of our ex-design team members: Jenny, Justine, Sandie and Stephanie so I do hope you'll stop by their blogs too this week.

We've loads of generous sponsors for this special challenge and just to give you an idea of which companies have donated these wonderful gifts just take a look at our sponsor board below:

My give-away prize is a £10.00 voucher from Uniko and to be in with a chance please leave a comment below answering my question ... I'm really just being nosy but here goes!

"What's your favourite crafting tool that you use every time
and simply couldn't live without and why?"

Once our challenge has ended I'll be doing a random draw for my prize and I'll pop a summary on the blog of what our favourite crafty tools are. For me it would have to be my Tonic Guillotine. To be honest I'm on my second one of these 'bad boys' but as I've been crafting for well over years; I don't think it's doing too bad! It's compact, cuts perfectly every time. It's super strong and it's marked out in centimetres which is so easy for me as I'm simply useless with feet and inches!

So before I send you off to create, hop and think out your answers please read the instructions below with all the details of how to be eligible for some prizes. Have fun, Good Luck and thanks for calling by today.

  1. What a fun, bright and happy card! I'm a card maker so I couldn't craft without my Scor-Pal, love the crisp straight folds it gives on the base cardstock. Thanks for the chance at winning (c:

  3. Gorgeous card, I'm loving all your pretty stamped circles!
My couldn't-do-without tool is definitely my guillotine - I remember when I first started making cards I would mark my card size out with a ruler and then hand cut it - nightmare!

  4. Fabulous in the pinks Sarah. And I couldn't live without my misti tool - the best ever investment I've made!

  5. What a pretty card.. And the Smile it makes on the card is so thoughtful! I started making cards incorporating my quilling and my quilling tool is the one I can't live without!

  6. My favourite tool is my cutting machine ... I love crisp and detailed cuts of any kind ... Although I have a large number of dies, they aren't enough ... I need more! I can't stop buying them.

  7. Gorgeous CAS card. Love how the stitch die echos your sentiment. Favourite tool has to be my bigshot. Where would I be if I had to resort to hand cutting and embossing? It's also useful to flatten out cards that are a little out of shape due to water or heat. Hugz

  13. Love your bright pink card, Sarah. Pretty design too.
My favourite crafting tool I can't live without was a toss up between my MISTI and my Big Shot. But because masking is my favourite technique, and I can't do it without my MISTI (or 3 MISTIs in my case 😂), my MISTIs came out on top.

  15. Sarah, love your bright pink card! I wish I could work so beautifully with bright colours as you do. Re your question: Undoubtedly I can't live without a heat gun. I use many tools, but most of them is just a comfort tools. But to replace a heat gun? Hmmm... I even use 2 different heat guns for different purposes ;) - Sweet Kobylkin

  23. Beautiful birthday card, Sarah! pretty in pink! Aside from my Big Shot and Misti (totally dependent on them!), by go-to tools are my panel dies, especially my stitched rectangles! They remedy my inability to cut a straight line and are 100% must-uses in my creating! Thank you for the inspiration and smiles today!

  39. Pretty card and love the sentiment too and the curve gives an unusual look. Happy birthday to AAA cards. My go to tool would have to be my pokey tool, I use it for all sorts from lifting the edge on double sided tape ,positioning small bits that have glue on them, stomping down small additions to apply pressure and make them stick ,holding and placing peel-offs, picking up small die cuts or gems etc the list seems endless. I made the mistake one summer if using it for some paper piercing whist sat on our decking and sat it on a pile of paper, the breeze blew and it dropped down between two planks never to be seen again, I was gutted and lost until I was able to go out and buy another. Hubby said he might take up the decking when we redo the garden so I'm looking forward to finding my old long lost friend.

  40. I love the colours you used and this is such a great card design.

  41. Love your colorful, festive card! Let's see, before I got a Misti, my favorite tool was my WRMK envelope punch board. Now that I have the Misti, it's my favorite tool!

  42. What a stunning card. So clever that you've kept it CAS but added such amazing colour.
My favourite tool has to be my Big Shot die cutter. I use it for just about every card I make and it's still going strong after 10+ years. (I will have to check out your guillotine though )

  43. Love your card, Sarah ! And you know that I love this stamp set too, it is so versatile ! Each time I'm surprised to see how different a card can be depending on how we use this stamp and the design we give to the card ! It's such a joyful card with these colours, ideal to celebrate the 3rd Birthday of this fabulous challenge !
My favourite tool is definitely my MISTI ! How many card trials ended up in the bin before I had it ! But when the layering stamps arrived in my stash, I asked one to Santa Hubby ! And I'm sure that since that time, this purchase is well depreciated because I use it almost every day!
Thanks for the lovely challenge and for the chance to win ! xx

  44. Heat embossing for sure - can't live without melting something on my cards :))

  45. Swooning at your fabulous card Sarah! You've managed to get so much depth and texture on that groovy bottom panel by just using different circles and colours. Really wish I knew how you do that! Superb curving on the sentiment too. As for tools, I'm in the Misti gang, so much so that my recycling bin is almost redundant because it hardly ever sees any badly stamped items now. (Ha! Ha! I actually wanted to nominate baby wipes really - I make such a mess on my hands with ink that I have to keep a packet right beside my craft mat. Lol!) xx

  46. Wow, I love this card! The curved die cut really makes it special. Not to mention your amazing stamping! I would have to say that I cannot be without my brushos. I have an unhealthy love for them :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I love the bright color of your card and the curved panel, Sarah. It says 'smile' as much as the sentiment. ;) I don't have a tool I use every time but I do love my MISTI.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hi Sarah,
First off, I love your card. Your curvy sentiment and fun circle pattern make for a fantastic birthday card... My favorite tool would be my Exacto knife. I would have some messed up, ripped up, and uneven cards. I can't cut a straight line to save my life... On that note too, I think my next fav are the Perfect Borders rulers!! Genius!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Love your colour combination and your layout is so pretty x My favourite tool is now my Misti...I really don't know what I did before I got one. It makes me more adventurous and I just love it! x

    ReplyDelete
  50. Love the bright cheerful card. The stamped panel is just gorgeous! My absolutely favorite craft tool has to be my Ranger Heat Gun. I cannot craft without it!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Gorgeous card, super colours and stamping - must add that sentiment set to my wish list. As for the tool I couldn't do without... that's a hard one as I have so many I love, but I think it will have to be the Misti as it really does open so many doors when it comes to stamping and creating xx

    ReplyDelete
  52. Your card is just fabulous -- love the colors and overall design!! My favorite tool(s) that I use every single time: ATG tape gun for sure and my paper trimmer!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Really pretty and bright card. The curved edge is great with the circle design. My favourite tool is probably my MISTI - I very rarely stamp without it. Another thing I use an awful lot is my Wink of Stella, though I suppose that's not a tool exactly :D

    ReplyDelete
  54. Such a fun card Sarah, love the pinks, browns and blues together! I can't stamp without my Misti anymore, I've become so dependant on it!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I love your bright design, so cheerful!
I always use my darling cuttlebug machine and dies, impossible to craft without them!
    hugs xx
