Cocktails and Flowers

Hello crafty friends, I feel like I've been MIA recently although I have been 'trying'
to make some cards! I'm in mid kitchen revamp and I think my mojo
could be in a packing box somewhere but I've no idea which one!!!

Anyway my buddy and fellow teamie at Less is More, Anita,
is the MUSE this week and I couldn't wait to support her
in her first DT week, plus her card is just awesome!

I've kept my card very close to Anita's as I adore the colours she used.
Sadly I don't have 'scribble / doodle' flowers in my stash so I die-cut then
inlaid the centres of some gerbera flowers from MFT Die-namics.
I love the 'dotty' detail! Also inlaid are the stems, using Clearly Besotted,
Sweet Rose with a sentiment also from Clearly Beostted: Say it in Style set.
To finish there's a strip of DP from Echo Park and a Dotty line using
Paper Smooches Dots and Dashes dies.

Here's Anita's yummy card ...

My next card is to enter the CASology challenge where the cue card
is 'Line' ... can I go with a line of drinks / cocktails in this case!

Card Recipe:
Paper Smooches: Free Spirits stamps and dies
Coloured with Zig Clear Brush pens then winked with stella
and coated in glossy accents. To finish a strip of DP from Doodlebug.

I'd also like to drop this in at Simon Says Stamp, Wednesday Challenge
where it's sparkle and shine. I'm not sure the WOS is visible in the photo
but these drinks are smothered with glossy accents for added shine.

Thanks as always for calling by my blog and if you are interested here are
2 pictures of my 'kitchen nightmare' taken last night! My poor ceiling is
riddled with holes and my living room is in the same state today!
It's to be hoped there's a good plasterer turning up tomorrow!

  6. Wow, Sarah, your pics of your kitchen brought me right back to when we remodeled our kitchen, from top to bottom. What a messy job...but SO worth it in the end! Hang in there! I agree with you, Anita's card is just yummy this week! I love your inlaid circle flowers...very clever! I love your sweet card and how it definitely reflects the fun, graphic feel of Anita's card. Well done!

  9. Love your little circle flowers and the leaves that match the dp. Also love the line of drinks. I could use one right about now and you probably could, too, judging by the pictures of the renovation.

  10. I think you're doing an amazing job creating anything at all when your house is topsy turvy. I know exactly how unsettling that feels. Two fab cards by the way. xx

  18. Great idea to use the inlaid die technique for these flowers, and even though I can clearly see how the case card inspired you you've managed to create a different look. Beautiful!

  21. Love your interpretation; love the dotty flowers to replace the pen lines, although the outlines were used for the stem and leaves; love that you continued the dots on the bottom of the cards, like Anita's card
